  1. Mate just make sure she's not a scorned woman that you may break up with, 'cause the only thing you might end up with is a Kodak Instamatic on the mantlepiece, and have to wait a week to see what's on the prints!!
  2. I'm just envious !! Look forward to your Best Of 2017. Great work!!
  3. Please don't tell me you did that on your own....please!!
  4. Cheers mate, that's good news thanks. I reckon I'll look at GH3/4, and most of my shooting is done in good light.
  5. I think that could be the way to go, it's gonna give me weather sealing, headphones, and the availability of a good aftermarket eyepiece / cup which I need. Or maybe a GH4 as I think they'll be getting cheaper very soon. Cheers.
  6. Trying not to go too off topic, but how did the GH2 24 fps1080p, hold up against GH4 1080p. To my eyes (via youtube) the GH3 1080p didn't seem to be much of an improvement ( if any ). You probably didn't try it, but curious to know what GH4 720p is like. Patched up GH2 720p is still punching above its weight I reckon. Cheers.
  7. @Kidzrevil...Hey mate is there a chance at some stage you might be able to record some 24 fps 1080p, and maybe some 60/50 fps, and give your opinion regarding quality please.
  8. Cool info thanks. The most interesting thing I've shot and posted on YouTube has had about 60 views in the past 20 months, when do you think I can expect a comfotable income?
  9. If I wasn't to prepared to stay with MFT when I update my GH2 in the near future, I think I'd go down the Nikon path for 1080p Video, and Stills. Those cameras mentioned above have all received high praise, and of course there's Nikon glass as well.
  10. At that rate I hate to think what Casey Neistat earns in a good week!
  11. I really think Olympus are aiming at stills first and they're loyal customers (who also love Olympus after sales help) and they've just turned the corner regarding video.
  12. Thanks guys. I'd be happy with that. Thought it also handled the sky and water well. Good work Jase! Thanks very much for that. Were they recorded in 1080p or 4K. They certaily look good and better than some reports I've read.
  13. Thanks for looking Jon, but yeah there's not much out there to look at, and some people are saying that 1080p on the new line of G/GX cameras isn't the best. When I used to patch my GH2, my 6 year old little old Lenovo G560 handled it just. So I might look into Edit ready. Cheers. ,
  14. Looked great, nice hand held work. Skin tones do look good with this lut. Didn't really spot the difference in cameras as the content got my attention.
  15. Not having an up to date computer, or 4K screen, is really holding me back from 4K recording at the moment, and also learning Edit ready, New computer, New Camera, ProRes, etc, all at the samw time would probably do my head in. Anyway if I can be convinced that Panasonic 1080p has improved since the GH2, I'll get the G80 for IBIS and 4K for the future. Thanks.
  16. Some people on DP Review are reporting that the quality of1080p on the GX85 isn't the best, so I'm wondering if anyone has found this to be true, and is it the same with the G85?

    GH5 Prototype

Did you shoot much 24fps,1080p on the GH4, and if so was it an improvement on the GH3/GH2 ?
  18. Still curious to know what the quality of1080p ( recorded in 1080p mode) at 24 fps is like on the G85. (sorry to interupt the GX85 / GH4 discussions) Also wondering if anyone knows of an eyepiece that might adapt for it ? That's really important for me when I upgrade my GH2.
  19. Good point. I think his lut developement has been around Cine D settings, and always trying to match the GH4. Sounds like you read his whole thread anyway, but i think his settings and Lemming lut nails it.

    Lenses

When shooting at 300mm (600mm eq:) on a head like the Manfrotto 502 I used to, but I've now got an old Miller head and so I dont need it on with a good head. Some times I forget it's on until it bites me.

OK I just found out the100-300 OIS doesn't work with IBIS on G80
  22. Cool, works a treat. I'm surprised at how stable the horizontal is. You posted a video last week of some hand held 100-400 shots and I was skeptical at first because of how good the horizontal was.But I'm seeing some amazing long lens work all showing great horizontal stability....I'm not so skeptical now. Thanks
  23. What took you so long to answer!! Thanks Cary, good to know. But I presume the IBIS would handle it ok.

    Lenses

Whilst we're talking about long lenses, I'm wondering how the 100-300 would behave on the G80 with stabilisation turned on, especially if you had it on a head. I love this lens and I have OIS switched on most of the time, but it can bite you on the arse sometimes, but most of the time it works great with ois on. I threw a few clips together to show a mate a while back . Think the 1st clip is on ETS also.
