  1. Hi, guys, it seems Samsung has somehow snuck in a (sorta) fix for the 30mm manual focus problem. On my NX1, when I press record, it still automatically switches to AF. But if I press the onscreen button (highlighted in the image) after it's recording, I have full manual focus over the lens! I was able to confirm this with the help of another user on Facebook who's on an older firmware. The strange thing is, this didn't work for me on any older firmware besides 1.4. Either ways, I can now use this lens for video!
  2. I was playing around with the "Interval Capture" which is an extremely godsend feature. I especially like that there is a video made side-by-side in-camera along with the photos. But you can't change the interval between each photograph to anything less than 2 seconds (I needed it to be 1 second). Is there a workable way around this?
  3. I tried working on some cinemagraphs with 1080p footages on Photoshop and, despite my Skylake i7 + 960m laptop, I had to give up exporting. It was just taking too damn long.
  4. Guess the update to fix the AF bug on the 30mm is never coming then.

    Samsung NX1 slow-mo

Sorry for the late reply. Got called away for assignment. But yes I'll put some up as soon as possible. I'm having a bit of a weird problem, with footages varying in Twixtor output. One, which I shot of pigeons flying, came out nicely enough when slowed to 240p equivalent, but the other shots (people walking, etc) came out rather glittery.

    Samsung NX1 slow-mo

Settings I tried shooting some 120p footage on the camera and found, whilst good, is a tad mushy (-10 sharpness, same as with the gorgeous 4k footage). Perhaps it's because of the pixel-binning at 1080p. Can I get some of you to share settings (sharpness, etc.) of what you guys found optimal for slowmotion 1080p footage? Further slowing down I was also trying to see if I could further slow down by 50% to a 240p-equivalent footage using Twixtor. Shooting 120p at 1/240, the footage didn't seem to be affected by the "native" shutter speed. In fact, 120p footage works well as 240p. Now, the real question is, if I wanted to go further slower, perhaps even up to 480p, what shutter speed/settings would you guys recommend?
  7. I'm glad there is increased awareness for the camera, despite the rumors (and dire news).
