So in this case isn't it enough with an external GPU of dedicated 8GB memory?
We're planning to add an external GPU because of the portable need (HP Spectre x360) :
https://egpu.io/external-gpu-buyers-guide-2018/
As for example this one:
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1080IXEB-8GD#kf
In this case, might we dismiss the internal GPU with dedicated 4GB memory for Intel® UHD Graphics 620 to share the 16GB RAM once we'll have an external GPU with dedicated 8GB memory?

Yes. Here:
https://egpu.io/external-gpu-buyers-guide-2018/
16Mb of RAM not enough for 4K editing and 4K grading?
-
What's the best? Do they handle the job?
Basically, the difference is between (per each of both options, respectively):
- Intel® Core™ i7-8705G (3.1 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 8MB cache, 4 cores) vs Intel® Core™ i7-8750H (2.2 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 6 cores)
- 16 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (2x8GB) vs 16GB onboard
- Radeon™ RX Vega M Graphics (4GB dedicated memory) vs NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050Ti with Max-Q design (4 GB)

SteadXP works great for cameras that do not have IBIS, yet can shoot higher than HD resolution - so that the inevitable post cropping of the software will not impact to drastically on the final image quality.
4K?
Only to correct hand shaking for 4K recording with handheld use - do you have any estimated number how does the resolution end with the crop?

Thank goodness RED has never done that to us!
edit: this is a RED thread no?
No, where are you now? Australia? The neighbor New Zealand? Okay....

It gets a bit tiresome if people go on over and over banging on about a missing feature that which is obviously / widely known as not being there.
Is like complaining about a Jaguar sports car not being a six seater electric car. Well d'oh, everyone knows it is not one.It seems a few of you miss the point. Don't read or... Don't understand. Don't want understand. Whatever. Only God knows! Who mentions features when they forgot to invite Mr. Reid? You see fair criticism in a wrong way.

How do you reckon they sell thousands of cameras with this thread? and maybe the send free cameras to people they think are relevant, not who you think is.
Common sense. Lack of common sense isn't good for me as customer. You all look like to be part of a sect. Like they are God or something. They didn't send a camera to Andrew Reid, they should know why. How old are you? They're arrogant. Another viewpoint. You think it isn't relevant, what are you doing here?
-
It is a very good offer. The quibble is with their marketing.
How come they sell thousands of cameras with this thread, yet they didn't send a camera for the guy who owns the site? They should send one for free, as gift. Their marketing is a disaster.

Haha, yep, me, Mr Blackmagic......I closed the door!?.
Despite the high viewing numbers of this thread, it's the same old people here commenting. I really doubt BMD needs this thread or Mr Reid to sell any of it's cameras.......the cameras have sold on their own without Andrew even getting a camera!
Good luck folks, hope Santa visits you this December. Be good!
Why are you always editing your posts so committed? Who pays such love after all?

It's weird that you expect things to be free. It's just not the way the world works. I'm assuming that you are over ten years old here and I probably shouldn't do this just in case you aren't but......................Santa doesn't exist.
Doesn't exist. That's my line. haha I don't expect things to be free. The free version exists yes or no? You guys embarrass yourselves. This marketing is very weird.

But you do realise Blackmagic are giving you the FULL VERSION with the Pocket4k don't you?
Yes, of course. Let me ask you quite directly. Why so worried about that? Are you a seller to sell me? This is so weird.

I understand that. Isn't it strange? They look like Santa. Fanboys everywhere. This is like Red. In the end, you pay. Little, but nothing is free. I like transparency. I don't put my hands on fire for anyone. It is young-looking this hype. Good camera... There's no Santa yet.

This is a good offer. Nobody denies that. Don't shoot please
Nonetheless, I wonder why a company limits the hardware to use with a free version...
-
I am referring the other one you can download.

The camera comes with the full version of Resolve Studio which would normally cost USD$299. No limitations like the free version of resolve.
That's not what I have heard. You would need more powerful hardware with the free version of Resolve.
-
Yes, this can be a good camera but... I have heard there are hardware limitations with the free version of Resolve. Why?

Theres already enough negativity here, and I doubt if ManchesterGate is yet completely behind us.
I don't think it is negativity. It isn't only here. People have different opinions.
Good points in this video:

Fuji really doesn’t make a bad lens. The 23mm F2 is a lovely lens and has lots of character. AF is quick and quiet.
I did recently order the 56mm F1.2 and will replace the 50mm F2 with this lens. I shoot a fair bit of stills with this focal length, so favor the wider aperture.
Don't you see quality differences full wide opened compared with the 16MM F1.4?
I have heard bad reports regarding that 56MM F1.2 lens with video, you know?

Here is the breakdown:
Wide shots: 16mm f1.4 -24mm equivalent
Medium shots: 23mm F2 - 35mm equivalent
GH5S: From 4.55 - 5.28.
Keep in mind when shooting with Eterna you need to crank up the DR setting if in high contrast conditions.... which I did not do... as I was not aware of this information at the time. This is not an issue in FLog. The GH5S was set to use VLogL, so it was capturing maximum dynamic range.
How did you find the 23 F2 lens? Sharp enough? Good IQ? Good autofocus?

Had a bit of a play with the X-T3 over the weekend. Below is some footage from my first shoot with the camera. I also have some scenes shot with the Panasonic GH5S. Both are great video tools. Check it out below. Comments welcomed.
Could you identify the lenses you used shot by shot? By the way, what shot with GH5s?

Yes paid version adds features. I also opened a thread there in their forum: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=82501
As other member said, they are slow to publish new posts so I wonder if is there anyone here to know if this external gaming box is upgradable for the AORUS GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti 11G with 11GB?
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1080IXEB-8GD#kf
Is it?
