Have you looked into the Leeming LUT? @TheRenaissanceMan has been thoroughly following the development. The LUT, plus in camera settings seems to be getting some great results.

Even the way the resolution of his wrinkles from aps-c to full frame to medium format is telling. Very interesting. I'm sure I'll get blasted for using non-quantifiable words, but the image is heavier or weightier the larger the format. Pretty cool.

Also, I wonder if I can use the Ninja 2 or Ninja Blade to downsample the 4K to 1080p? I read an article on news shooters that vaguely makes it sound possible. I always convert to 1080p prores before bringing into my nle anyway. Hmm. Must do more research.

You really can't deny the iq. It was definitely my favorite of the 3 cameras in the subsequent video you posted. Do you still have the D750? If so, I'd love to see a comparison video between the Markiii Raw and the 750.

Get the 1DX II. It has 4K mjpeg up to 60p. It looks like it will be a killer camera for both stills and video.

Sorry, but I need to ask... Why do you leave sharpening and noise reduction at 0? Everything I have read seems to contradict that. Of course, nothing you have written about the G7 has been wrong yet, so it's definitely worthy of a test. Yes, good point. I actually like the basic, out of box, look of CineLikeD, but it takes too much to correct without the latitude to do it justice. Thanks to ReanaissanceMan, I have been reading up on this Leeming LUT, which seems to have some promise, but for now Natural seems to be the best option. If the guy makes a G7 version of the LUT, I may give it a try because people are getting some great results.

Dang, he does look like Ed O'Neil. Ha. It looks great. Your LUT really cuts through that sLog. I happened upon one of your free LUTS... Aspen maybe? I forget which one it is... I got a lot of free ones on the same morning... But I like it a lot. I am trying to learn to do basic color corrections/grades without LUTS, but when I feel confident enough to go back to them, so I know how to properly tweak them, I will definitely give your pack a go.

Thanks... I think. Yeah, I've been known to be a little heavy handed. This go around, I stopped worrying about histograms and waveforms and grading, and just went for an honest image. Plus I really love this new Sigma lens.
