  1. Black Friday meant a 15% discount on the Olympus 25/1.2 so i bought one. It's a pain in the a*s to use with the GX80 since the body is so small but still, great lens.
  2. That's not what he said. He said that in order for Dual IS to work, you need to use Lumix lenses. IBIS will still work with everything else. It's like my GX80, it won't do Dual IS with an Olympus 12-100 but i'm sure getting really stable footage with my Olympus 25.
  3. Thank you Luke for the chance to do some testing this early on! Did a quick grade in Premiere, very pleasing files to work with!

    GH5 Prototype

Quite right, the "shit" comment was my own to highlight the fact that we know nothing of its performance until it's released. I get your point now, you don't like the fanboy parade, and i agree.

    GH5 Prototype

Valid argument, thanks! Maybe the GH5 is shit, but neither you or I can tell until its out in the wild.

    GH5 Prototype

Can you share the files from the GH5 that you used to make this comparison?
  7. Indeed i did! I thought that the GX80 would make a perfect B-cam for the GH5. But who knows, the GH5 might be the worst camera ever, in that case i'll keep my GX80 and be happy with it Oh, the Olympus 25/1.2 is amazing by the way! Thank you!
  8. Not better, just different. I've come to like lightweight and small cameras because they can follow you everywhere. Really miss the slow motion on the NX1!
  9. Thanks a lot! The setup process isn't much at all, standard profile with sharpness and noise reduction set to -5, no other changes. The rest is done in post with some help from Visioncolor Impulz, lumetri color panel and curves.
  10. I've had the Panasonic G7 for about three months now and i'm really pleased with it. It's pretty cheap now a days which makes it a great bang for the buck!
  11. Really pleased with how this one turned out. Panasonic G7 turned out to pack a great bang for the buck! 90% is shot with Olympus 25/1.8 and some shots with Panasonic 12-35/2.8 Vimeo link: https://vimeo.com/141640603
  12. A late response but i shot a wedding this summer on the NX1 with a 12.000 mAh USB battery. No problems what so ever during the 7 hour shoot and the battery lasted all day.
  13. http://petapixel.com/2015/09/29/swiss-tv-station-replaces-cameras-with-iphones-and-selfie-sticks/ I'm not that into ENG but this got to be a bad move? Bad as in skilled cameramen loosing their jobs and replacing years of experience with a selfie stick equipped reporter.
  14. Nothing wrong with the link in the sidebar: http://www.eoshd.com/samsung-nx1-video-settings-guide-tutorial/
  15. From what I've read, it will be available at the end of the year. That could mean December 31st since they haven't announced release date.
  16. Link first: http://www.4kshooters.net/2015/08/28/filmpower-tease-the-nebula-4200-a-new-5-axis-gimbal-stabiliser-for-dslrs-and-mirrorless/ The thing holding me back from investing in a small gimbal is the vertical bounce that you can see in the majority of "test videos" This gimbal, if it works as advertised, might make me open my wallet!
  17. Correct:) Edit: Did a test with the DIS feature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZvaamTS1kk&feature=youtu.be
  18. Firmware 1.40 is available for download now. [v.1.40]1. Increased continous maximum shot counts- 15fps JPEG : 70ea > 90ea- 15fps RAW : 20ea > 25ea2. Improved AF to work during zooming (6 Supporting Lens : 16-50mm S, 50-150mm S, 16-50mm PZ, 18-55mm III, 12-24mm, 50-200mm III)* Please updated Lens together with Latest versionLens Firmware can be updated by iLauncher6. Improved Playback speed of photo9. Improved sound quality of external Mic. (only for Auto MIC Control OFF)10. Overall fixed minor bugs
  19. Prores 4k 422 LT, but i tried most of them. Yes, ran it with both compatibility mode (win 7 + 8) and administration rights with no success. Most likely there's something wrong with my system since no one has reported anything similar to this. I mean, it's a pretty strange crash.
  20. Tested ClipToolz Convert V2 and it was on par in terms of speed with RockyMountains Converter in my unscientific test. It didn't add brightness or lowered the contrast as RMC does. Really strange thing, clips converted with ClipToolz crashed my Premiere when applying a curve. Don't know what causes the problem since clips converted in RMC with the same settings works fine. ClipToolz + Windows 10 = bad date? Haven't bougt Andrew's guide yet but i'm considering it. Grading Gamma DR works great but it's always fun to try new things. Will definitely keep an eye for a ClipToolz update!
  21. Newsshooter interview with Ryan Avery from Veydra about their new lenses: https://vimeo.com/124786321 01:20 he says that their new anamorphic lens is for the GH4 and "the new panasonic camera" So, hopefully no fixed lens
  22. My guesstimate is $1500-$2000 since it, with the information available today, seems to be targeted at the same market as Sony AX100 and FZ1000. I quite like the option to choose my own glass but it's still an interesting camera if they include some pro features and we don't have to wait for Magic Lantern If target market guess is correct it sure is an interesting choice of form factor.
  23. Shot with Samsung NX1, 30/2, 45/1.8 and 50-200/4-5.6. A shoulder rig was used for most of the shots, especially handy when using the 50-200 @ 200. I used Gorilla Grain 4k for the first time but not I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the settings i used. More testing is needed. Edited, stabilized and graded in Premiere. https://vimeo.com/121886945
