Indeed, you should run right out and snap up a a6300. It's the best camera in the world. I know I'll be selling my 1DXMkii to get one  or maybe just stop worrying about charts and look at some real world results?

He was talking about details and details only. So if you're top priority is details for some reason, the real world results will show the same. The 1DXMKII is considerably softer. This is just a fact, no need to defend the 1DXII, as it obviously outperforms the A6300 in many other ways.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned on here but I gotta admit I'm impressed by the dynamic range.  It doesn't look sharp at all, but I would be happy with this

Yeah it's been mentioned before. I believe it uses the 1080p60 mode to create a HDR 1080p30 video. The difference is not that big though, in the first comparison the HDR mode is underexposed compared to the normal one. The car scene shows the difference better.

I just bought this C-Log picture style today, and it's incredibly good! Here is a test shot with my 70D and a 50mm 1.8 STM lens. I'm really glad, that i purchased it, for 10 bucks it's really worth it!

Very nice colors, fasza lett :P

A 6K readout does not automatically mean massive jello, it depends how fast they scan it.

Yeah, let's see, but I have my doubts. Even Samsung's tech could not do a fast enough scan, and we all agreed that the NX1 was ahead of it's time.

The thing to ask IMO is : Is the FS700 a good camera for my uses ?

I think this is what John tries to decide. I wonder about the same thing he does, so if someone could give a detailed answer to this question, it would be most helpful:

How does the Color, Dynamic Range and Low-light sensitivity compare to other cameras on the market?

Result is, Canon LOG gives more DR. Cinestyle just gives a LOG image with no DR increase over Neutral/Faithful with -4 Contrast. So what's the point? It was made to make the Canon DSLR footage easily intercut with Film footage and high end cinema cameras. It also gives compatibility with LOG LUTs and so on. IT IS a LOG mode, it gives a logarithmic tone distribution but it's just 10-11 stops vs C-LOG that offers more by accessing earlier sensor data stream.

Is this true to Nikon cameras as well? I used Flaat 11 on my D5200 many times, but never really compared it's DR to tweaked Standard/Neutral. I can't check it now, but I wonder if there is any real advantage.

+1 for what Andrew said. Samsung does NOT want ppl to improve nx1 and to add long time requested features they never cared to add.

I wonder why. It's not like they could just re-enter the camera business.

If that marginal difference in image quality were more important than features, than why not go ursa mini 4.6k raw, which has even better image, color, and codec.

Well it's not a hybrid and that magenta issue doesn't look good. I think it's not even officially acknowledged yet.

Judging only by all the videos linked on the forum, all the great things in the 1DX II image are unfortunately destroyed IMO by terrible and abrupt highlight clipping in high contrast situations. The one on that girl's hair looks especially ugly.

I agree, I haven't seen a high contrast image from this camera that I really liked. I hope people who already have it will experiment with tweaked camera profiles and show us the results :) C-Log is something we might not get here.

There are a few shots in the "Forest" clip that are plain beautiful, especially the CU of her hands touching the plants.

    Exciting camera.

I tried to ignore the pixel binned image and failed.

The DR seems a little limited, the whites on the sides of the wall seems very clipped.Skärmavbild 2016-04-28 kl. 10.42.11.png

Indeed, DR limitation can be seen all around this footage. I like the image and motion though, but this camera needs C-Log.
