  5. What about Sony RX100? It's super small, decent video and great stabilisation. This was shot entirely on Sony RX100 m1:

Yes, similations. That's it. It's never gonna be the same. And why to simulate it? why to copy? Why digital image don't walk in its own way? On one hand we want filmlook but on the other we dont want to shoot film :). I know it's cheaper and everything, but if all of us (who want filmlook) woud shoot film wouldnt be the film stock cheaper?

Well, I found that shooting digital is tiring for me. And that characteristic isn't minor but major to me! I admit, that for example BMPCC is great. The RAW image looks great. But it's way to clinical! Sterile. Yes, its matter of tase, and I love the filmistock imperfection. Thats something digital will never have! It's too good. And it's funny how many videos around try to fake the imperfection and film look.

Ok, I know tons of enviromentally unfriendly chemicals are needed, but...There is such a long tradition in producing filmstock around the globe. Even small state like Czech has its filmstock company (ok, they produce only BW material, but still!) I admit the market is small, but that doesn't mean you cant make a hype - like Lomography. Yes, we have Lightroom and Premiere with all the plugins simulating filmstock, but, I still feel that digital photos/footage miss something.

Ahh, what a brilliant idea! Like what Lomo made for photography. Can anyone explain me why filmstock is so expensive? And is there any way how to produce it cheaply?
  10. thx for your quick answer :) btw: ja vím :)
  11. What lenses did you use? I agree, for the price it's really small capable camera! short production video for http://antropogallery.com
  12. I'm happy that someone has gone further than to 70s or 60s.... I wish all of vimeo dlsr shooter had watched movies by Ivens, Flaherty, Ruttman, Mekas, Solanas+Gettno, etc... Majority of the vids on vimeo lacks a poetry which can be found in work of these filmmakers and plus they contain tons of kitch shots....
  13. Well, I only use manual lens. Yes, the footage can be a bit shaky, but it depends on what focal lenght. The old manual lenses will give "different" (more filmic?!) look to your movies. But PP is important as well. example of Olympus OM lenses:

    G6 or GM1?

For me the viewfinder is really crucial. I started as d/slr photographer. And I had sony x100 and several other compat cameras. And I find really diffculut to frame on screen. The el. viewfinder of G6 isnt the best, but still good enough. The stills are good as well, But DSLR will make you more happy than G6. And one advice - skip the kit lens. It's not that bad, but it's so boring. Instead of it buy some manual lens with adapter.:)

    G6 or GM1?

Well, for me the biggest pro of G6 is the viewfinder. I'd suggest to go to a nearest camera shop and take your memory card and try them out. Not only the quality, but the handling as well. Good luck.
  16. Matt, let me know what is your final decision. I'd like to see your website :)
  17. Hi, I use vimeo + cargocollective. www.novyludek.com The problem is to have more vids on one page. It really increase loading time. Good luck.
  18. Hey blufonia! How is the Sigma? Is it 1.8 or 2.8? thx.
  19. Hi, As the owner of the G6 I'd recomend you this little camera. Look at my website www.novyludek.com, all the videodiary was shot on the G6. Just one short example:
  20. As andy lee pointed out - pull down saturatuion and contrast, maybe NR too. And then? It's about the lenses. The kit lens gives super video look. Buy you some old manual lens and adapter! Or some panny/oly prime lens if you have some € left :) And I forgot - Film Convert addon for your AP/AAE.
  21. Hi. I'd recommed to buy G6 body and for saved money choose some nice prime lens. The G6 is really good for filming - https://vimeo.com/groups/dmcg6/videos
  22. First shot with Lomo fisheye for mtf. Did someone else buy this kit? What do you think? Rip off or awesome toy? https://vimeo.com/79974211
  23. you have to hold and hol the button...you can do whatever you want with this camera, but you are limeted by 30/60 images...1sec or 2sec of slow-mo.
  24. Thank you...the images look good
  25. Would you mind share some clips shot with these lenses? I can recommend Olympus OM 28/2.8 and 50/1.8 Any other recommendation for some other lenses? thx
