  1. This is a trailer to my brand new movie from our expedition to Angel Fall in Venezuela. The story of the film is about making a children's dream to come true. When I was a child I loved books full of adventure and the most loved was an old komix describing a tour to mysterious tepui mountain. This dream become reality for me a few months ago... Shot on Panasonic G6 Lenses: Panasonic 25mm F 1,4 + Canon FD 50mm F 1,8 Mic: RODE videomic PRO ND filter: Hoya ND8 and ND4

I use Panasonic 25mm f 1.4 in 90% of my shoots. I think manual focus works well but it needs some practice. This is my 20 minutes documentary from India about yoga and there is almost everything shot on Leica 25mm: http://www.bushmanfilm.com/india-yoga/

Hi guys, what do you think about lens Carl Zeiss TEVIDON 1,8/16? I have a chance to buy it for 50 USD does it worth it?
  4. I assume that many of us have heard about Lytro. Now Lytro is comming out with a brand new model Lytro Illum. In my opinion it is a great technology and if it can work in video mode it may become revolution. It can save a lot of time when shooting and save a lot of money for expensive lenses. All you want you make in postproduction. Plastic look and DOF wherever you like on your shot, changing character of your movie not on the stage but behind keyboard. And where this technology is headed for video: “If you look at a big-budget Hollywood production today, they’ll spend between 9 and 14 million dollars on just incremental hardware to shoot 3D, because you need multiple rigs. We can do all that in single-lens, single-sensor — that’s a big deal,†Rosenthal says. “You look at the credits at the end of a movie and you see Camera Assistant 1, Camera Assistant 2, Camera Assistant 3… they’re doing focus pulls on set. If you can make that an after-the-fact decision, that’s a pretty big deal.†Of course to achieve that in practice and not just theory, Lytro would need to make a camera that records video. But that’s on the roadmap: “That’s something that largely gets solved as computational power continues on its Moore’s law rate of increase.†Processors double in speed every two years, Moore says; Lytro’s perfectly positioned to take advantage of every increase. http://nofilmschool.com/2014/04/lytro-illum-camera-refocus-images-video/
  5. Yes I think that there is nothing better for the money it costs! I used: mostly Panasonic Leica 25mm f 1,4 Canon FD 50mm f 1,8 Canon FD 85mm f 1,8 fixed ND 8 and 4 Graded and processed in Sony Vegas Pro 12 BTW: Jsem taky z Äeska :)
  6. Thanks a lot, this is my the first DSLR movie so I am glad it looks much better than camcoder. These two scenes (chain and bels) are originally referring to speech (dubbing) in movie. Lipstick yes, my wife used too much of her favourite Chanel lip rouge :-D
  7. This is a short trailer to my a brand new documentary movie about looking for yoga in India. I was used to shoot documentaries by very cheap camcoder but thanks to this forum lately I have switched to a DSLR world. In my opinion it is possible to make some good shots by cheap camera like Panasonic G6 :-)
  8. What do you think about Vivitar 135mm f/2.5 TX for Canon FD? Does it worth for 75USD?
  9. This "clinical look" is why I did not buy 12-35mm and took 25mm 1,4 + FD 50mm 1,8 instead. I think that 25mm looks much smoother, natural and bokeh is more creamy than 12-35mm. But IOS is what I miss of course :-)
  10. So and what do you think about comparison with Panasonic 14mm F 2,5 for filming? The Panasonic is possible to buy secondhand for around 200 USD, but I am not sure about criticized "clinic" look?
  11. Tahx a lot! They are both great lenses it is very hard to decide :-) I do not mind fully manual work with SLR. I am not sure but may be SLR looks a little bit like "filmic look".
  12. Hi all, please I need to advice. I am between two wide lenses for my Panasonic G6. It is SLR Magic 12mm T1.6 and Olympus 12 mm F2 the price is almost the same. Which one do you think is better for video quality? Thanks a lot!!!
  13. Congratulation! Really nice footage! G6 is one of the best cameras and considering the money it is the BEST camera. What FD did you use?
  14. To me G6 is much much better than d5200 except only one sItuation and it is a low light scene, G6:
  15. The first images of my a new documentary about just a fresh visit of India. Shot on Panasonic DMC G6 + Panasonic 25mm F 1, 4 and Canon FD 85mm F 1,8.
  16. Hi all, I made a very very short clip on G6 (it is pre a production of my new film) and mostly used Canon FD lenses + Panasonic 25mm f 1,4. I think that FD looks good: http://vimeo.com/80628935
  17. Hi all, I own Panasonic G6 with a brand new Panasonic14-140mm f 3,5-5,6 and Panasonic 25mm f 1,4 which is really great lens. All I use for documentary movies only. As I need to cover wide angle I am not 100% sure about a quality of Panasonic 14-140mm at f 3,5 at 14mm and also I am not sure about prime lens Panasonic 14mm f 2,5 to be noticeably better than the new Panasonic 14-140mm at it´s 14mm at f 3,5... Pls, are there some good prime lenses around at 12 or 14mm or does it make sense to buy Panasonic 14mm f 2,5? Thanx a lot!!!
  18. I have 3 FD lenses but my adaptor FD-m4/3 has not arrived yet :-) The short is shot on Panasonic 25mm f 1,4 and a new kit 14-140mm f 3,5-5,6. When I have the adaptor ready I will try to shoot a new test.
  19. Comparing to this: http://vimeo.com/77921309    Videoy is my HDV camcoder not G6 :-)
  20. Here is some test footage from my a brand new Panasonic G6, I think it is the most universal camera and the shoots are not so videoish :-) :    https://vimeo.com/77921309
  21. I have just bought Anker for 40€ the cappacity is 14400mAh so I think my G6 will last at least about 12 hours what do U think? :-) : http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00BVV1ZY2/ref=pe_386171_37038021_pe_217221_31005211_M3T1_dp_1
