  1. It is truly a shame that there won't be a NX2...my NX1 (with the help of EOSHD's NX1 guide!) has given me amazing 4K video quality for over 75+ productions to date and I'll still be using it until I receive my RED Raven (whenever that may be...) Hope to see the GH5 announcement really soon to see what Panasonic has to offer though.
  2. Hi Oli - glad you enjoyed my footage! So the focus ring is VERY solid and smooth - I own Canon L and Zeiss lenses and it is just as good as my Zeiss. I'm not sure where people are getting the idea that the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 is a "fly-by-wire"/"focus-by-wire" design....it is my understanding that a focus-by-wire lens requires an active connection to the camera body to operate - in the case of the Sigma 18-35 f1.8, it does NOT need to be connected to a lens to adjust focus. Unfortunately, the lens does not have hard stops :(
  3. Hi all - for those who want to see the new Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y0qPHVYkwU If you have any questions about the lens/camera/settings, etc. feel free to let me know. Thanks, -Aaron
