  1. Here is a teaser trailer for our short film COURTESAN, set to premiere at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival:
  2. Just put up some examples of what a 1950s Zeiss Ultrascope lens looks like when shooting wide open at an F2. Has a really great dream-like quality to it.   Shooting an Anamorphic Music Video in 1950s Ultrascope
  3. Now a finalist in the Tribeca Film Festival's 6 Second Films Competition and featured on Mashable!   http://jeremyosbern.com/blog/2013/04/18/telling-a-story-in-6-seconds-part-three/
  4. Had several questions about these lately, here's a more in depth breakdown: http://jeremyosbern.com/blog/2013/04/16/zeiss-ultrascope-anamorphic-lens/ I plan on shooting a project in Ultrascope later this year, using both RED and 35mm film, then comparing the two. I'll post it when it's done.
  5. Did one more. Here's part two:   http://jeremyosbern.com/blog/2013/04/09/telling-a-story-in-6-seconds-part-two/
  6. Had one free day in March, so we shot a 6 Second Film for the Tribeca Film Festival's #6SECFILMS competition. Here's a full breakdown on how I shot it, along with the finished product:   http://jeremyosbern.com/blog/2013/03/31/telling-a-story-in-6-seconds/   I'd be interested to get your reactions.
  7. Matteboxes have 4.5" round holders (like the OConnor O-Box with a stepdown ring on the bellows).   You can also get screw-on step-up rings from your lens filter size to a 4.5" Round Filter Holder (usually two separate pieces that screw together and there's just enough room for the filter to sit inside).   I've still got dozens of 4.5" filters left over from a package I bought with my first ARRI 35mm camera, including some really old-style filters (like a Harrison Fog 5 filter... don't see using that any time soon!)
  8. "Picture A Girl With Red Hair" is a film I shot in 2012 that just completed post. It's starting its run on the festival circuit now. Here's a still:     I'll post more updates as it plays in festsivals. More info here:   jeremyosbern.com/blog/
  9. I have a Zeiss Ultrascope lens.   If you have a good copy, they have a really nice look. A lot of spaghetti westerns were shot with them. I plan on shooting a narrative project in Ultrascope later this year. I'll post the results when it's done!
