  1. We filmed Sammy the dog touring around Asheville, NC. Filming a dog is a crazy man's work. So difficult, but working with the cutest actor makes up for it haha... Let me know if you have any comments or questions!
  2. Hey guys and gals, not sure how many people are filming abroad, but I thought that this might help when you need to keep the gear light!
  3. Canon FD 28mm F2.0 used to be my go to lens. Nice colour and pretty sharp. The vivitar is also nice, but not sharp at f2.
  4. Everybody keeps posting this and another video as the holy grail of mavic footage. I have shot with it and haven't been able to get anything close to the same results. I assume that this person is doing something in post. He mentions neat video and some other things. I am trying it out, but not with much success. Thanks, I have been trying that out. How are you reducing the noise in Neat video? I am not getting very good results at the moment. Can you post any footage that looks decent? I am just looking for an image that is clean.
  5. Any chance you can post some footage?
  6. Are you able to use the footage for client work? If so do you have any footage that I could see please? Ill try to push the contrast back up in the settings to see if that makes a difference. What are your sharpening settings at and are you using the DJI GO app or the DJI GO 4 app?
  7. I have been trying different apps, different settings. Mostly in our tests, we found that we had to be at +1 sharpening or all of the details would get muddied in the shadows. The problem is that with a sharpening this high there is tons of aliasing. Not sure if you can see it in the YT clip, but it's really really bad. These clips are D-Cinelike +1 -3 -1
  8. Alright, so the mavic is the perfect size for what I film, but the footage looks so bad. It's aliased and over sharpened. I am just trying to get something decent with it. Does anyone have any good results to share?

    YT standards...

Finally a thread I want to follow! You guys just made my night and sorry to say, that latino guy is beating my following on YT. Well deserved!!!
  10. They reposted the old app. I put a link to it in the read more section of the video
  11. If you add a sliding quick release system and mount that forward essentially you are extending the room to mount the camera more forward. Have you tried this?
  12. I can try to get a tutorial for that in. I have been on back to back shoots for over a month now so not much time, but I will try to get something in soon for that. Thanks!
  13. Shot this for the tourism board a few months ago, different edit for them, but I had so much footage that I just threw this together. Trying to work on my social media subsciptions
  14. It is! You have to have your footage balanced to start with, but it's essentially just pushing in a colour. Nothing fancy. Thanks, I am using cine4/pro and now I am trying out the EOSHD Pro colour. It will work with Slog, but you have to have your curve set to bring slog into rec709 first and then apply this.
  15. Not sure if anyone saw any of my GO videos, but here is how I graded them.
  16. I actually asked their support to send me some more batteries and they told me to check on amazon.
  17. Google 18650 batteries and you should find what you are looking for.
  18. This has happened to me when I am not balanced properly. I think the motors have too much trouble. Are you sure that you are balanced right? I am planning to do a quick tut on how I pack my bag and grab it quickly. I use the Dakine Sequence bag. It was on sale last month for $80 off and it has a side pouch where you can put it temporarily. Hopefully I will get to all of these tutorials before i head out the door on the next shoot.
  19. Around 40,000. So funny that that is even possible
  20. Ya, i would love to buy something like that, but I want to hear from someone who has used one before I pick one up...
  21. Hello, I have been looking for a 5" monitor around 400 USD approximately or less. I need it to be light and very bright so I can frame in bright sunlight and be able to input 4k. I was looking at the Lilliput Q5 and then I realized that it doesn't take 4k input. Can someone recommend me one. It is so hard to find samples to test out on where I am. Thanks in advance!
