Fuji should have a full frame option. Yes, medium format is very nice, but none of those cameras have proper video... yet.
X-T3 is a small fish APS-C in what is about to become a sea of full frame sharks.
When you can buy an A7 III for only a BIT more money, you have to question if high-end APS-C has much of a future.
Sony is also going to launch a high end APSC camera soon
Interesting coincidence

strangely enough Canon don't really advertise the peaking feature on M50 and Eye-AF isn't even listed in it's pdf specs!
the EOS R will have a headphone jack, you can clearly see it in the leaked side pic:
The leaked side pic is more convincing ,some of the info in that PDF looks fake and strange
Maybe it still keep some surprises

Pretty sure EOS R will have peaking as it's available in M50. Both cameras share the new Digic 8 processor.
I'd check the spec PDF,nowhere seeing it
But I saw only one 3.5 port on the extension system terminal,it could mean no headphone jack
Brave move ,Canon....

Yes, but people around here act like Canon is the only company that protects their higher line of cameras. Panasonic protects their GH line. Nikon protects their D series.
Only Sony goes balls to the wall but one could easily argue that Sony cameras are an exhibition of their sensor tech, so it would make sense for Sony to that.
But...
Sony still uses that 8bit 100mbps 4K codec they’ve been using for 4 years now... where’s the outrage? Sony menus are still a mess... where’s the outrage? Sony cameras still have the potential to overheat... where’s the outrage? Sony lenses are still horribly overpriced... where’s the outrage?
Canon DPAF is just overrated,Sony 4D PDAF is actually better, because it can work in 120P mode
If Canon DPAF is really better,Why can't it work in 120P mode or taking photo up to 10fps per second as Sony does?
Besides ,what affect the IQ most is sampling, not just code and bit rate
Panasonic 、Sony、Fuji 、even Nikon now do supersampling
Only Canon still stick to crop Pixel to Pixel sampling video
On the Dpreview , the most soft 4K IQ is 5DIV, compare with its competitors
Not to mention EOS R does not have focus peaking and Zebra, how could it be a working tool?
Wait for ML hack again?
LMAO

What are the chances they use the EF mount like on the EVA1? I suppose they could use the Leica mount but those lenses are so expensive. Or create a new mount?
Interesting times. If I'm Sony I'm sweating, cause in the span of 6 or so weeks everyone looks to be coming out guns blazing, with them in the cross hairs.
But non of them are well developed system, sony still way ahead, not to mention fuji and nikon still using sony sensors
-
But,now everyone is go FF,why still stick to APSC?
If Panasonnic is really go FF as some rumors forecast ,M43 is totally dead,RIP GH series,so sell your GH5 before it is too late!I really mean it!
In short term future,I think everyone will have 10bit 4K 60P-120P,even raw or 6K,10bit just solve all the color banning issues, but the sensor size will be the only factor that decide how good the image really is!

It must be a 1.74x crop sensor 4K,no doubt

I wasn't paying much attention to the Z6. It looked fantastic, epic really, so I figured people would love it and their would be plenty of reviews that could help me form an opinion without buying it. That took a turn
So I was planning on buying one. But the lens lineup of this thing looks so tasty. And I already have a nice set of affordable EF primes...
Luckily none of them are available for quite some time and I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my 6Dmkii. Can't see any reason to replace it as of now. But as a predominantly Sony/Fuji shooter it has felt really nice to try a Canon again, which speak for the EOS-R.
Panasonic:wait ,I am going FF too

So, beyond all the Chicken Little reactions and a subpar press release from Nikon (creating a crazy echo chamber of negativity), what I'm seeing is:
-A well respected manufacturer with good qc and customer service
-Small mirrorless body with adaptable mount
-Full frame 24mp with clean 4K
-10-bit HDMI out
-Flat and Log profiles (basically the Nikon equivalent of CLog1 and CLog 3)
-A few essential lenses, with every logical core option already roadmapped
-IBIS that, by all accounts, bests Sony's
-Great battery life (more than 2 hours of straight 4K)
-Solid ergos, on par with other mirrorless manufacturers
-Natural color science without any major problems (blue channel clipping, greenish skin, greens shifting towards blue, magenta cast, etc)
-Integration with Atomos recorders for easy on set workflow
All baggage, brand politics, and bad press strategy aside, it ticks a LOT of boxes for me. Gonna be looking hard at the Z6 when it drops.
Z7 battery life is only last about 100min 4K continuous shooting, about the same level as second generation sony A7
IBIS is not 5.5 stops as A7R3
About ergonomics, Z7 is only tow dials, but A7R3、A73 has three
sony also has gamma assist, proxy record, pro PP file
So nikon still need a lot of catch ups

For video unfortunately the A7SIII will be much better with 4K60p but we will all be sad not to have DPAF and this canon body and colors. It’s always the same story. It never changes.
sony colors is no bad at all,now it is more canon like, here is a image taken by A9 compare with a image taken by 1DX2, can you see the difference?
-
Canon will never give you 10bit Supersampling 4K video with Clog below $3000!
Just a catch up move ,nothing more

Canon really try so hard not to give up their outdated ef mount lens~
Will they success by learning and following the PENTAX K-01?
But one thing to be sure,PENTAX K-01 was a big failure
Maybe wait and see what new plan they can carry out

The DR for the GH5 ehh Cinema5D tested it at 10 Maybe 11 stops tops. Sounds about right. I can't find any real figure for the GH5s.
I think I would sell the GH5 and buy the Sony A7 mk III. Colors look pretty good on it also. And the low light on it is better than the Sony A7s mk II. And that is with 24mp. Crazy.
The DPreview had tested the GH5S,and its DR is around 11.3EV,quite the same as the A7RIII(which is limited by its bit)
It looks like 10bit won't help carrying out all the DR?

Looks like canon really drive some people crazy

Another a7m3 review by a chinese guy,it shows the a7m3 can still do AF when underexposure 5ev ,which is totally insane

m50 has a 1.6x crop when shooting 4k,that's about 2.5x crop from a ff sensor.
And dual pixel AF is not available when shooting 4k, the Contrast AF is very slow
more over, the battery life is terribly short
Why Canon keep making those weird things?

A time-travel DSLR ,date back to 2008,so cool

I wonder how nikon get PDAF CMOS from sony and I don't think mirrorless cameras can save nikon from falling~
-
the full pixels readout on a6300 and a9 already proved Sony can do 6k 8 bit video on their mirrorless cameras
Sony just not sure it is the time to give 6k video for everyone, unless they need to sell their 6k TVs

Lack of wide gamut BFA and 10 bit high bitrate codec, for one. I'm sure they'd let you shoot the occasional insert on an iPhone, though, and would purchase an iPhone-derived project as an original on its other merits. They just likely wouldn't finance and produce one. So I wouldn't sweat it until you're in a position to discuss it with them personally.
Uh...actually that was a joke~
It is just a phone!

Why Iphone7 is missing too?

I see lots of complaining about headphone jacks. Do people use those? My a6300 doesn't have one and I've never plugged a headphone into one. Even when I'm using an external recorder, I just tend to look at the level monitors instead. But I always see that complaint everywhere, like people actually use them?
Of course,I use headphone for monitoring audio level and check if there is any bad BG nosie

They should have called it the 80D X.
That's what it is... An 80D with a bigger sensor!
But 80d has a ovf with 100% view coverage,1/8000s shutter, a headphone jack and ALL-I codec,haha
Panasonic announcing a full frame camera on Sept. 25???
