I don't know what they're doing exactly, but they're done by now. Even if they would come out with some kind of competition to the new BMPCC 6K, the S1h or the incoming (I hope) a7sIII, they would just cripple it in some way that the others don't, for color science's sake. BMPCC fills so much tasks, from trad run&gun to streaming cameras, A7sii still reigns as the king of low light, and the S1h is basically everything a photographer/videographer has ever wished for. What's left for Canon in this segment? What could they get out of it? I guess the only way they could profit from this s

I bet the upgrades are coming. It would go against the mentality of BMD to leave 2 years of cameras behind with no upgrade at all. Existing customers would hate them for that, and prospect would also see it that way (I would, at least) and go with companies like Sony, seeing how they maintain the F5/F55 serie up-to-date. If they're not released in a couple of days, I think they will at least be announced and released later.

Ok well, would you buy Nikon glass for use with the BMPCC exclusively? -

I know many of you have a Canon-compatible lens collection, but I had to sell everything last year and want to start fresh. If you were in my place, would you consider going all-Nikon for BM compatibility and consider getting a Nikon DSLR for stills, or would you stick with Canon until a compatible Speedbooster comes out? -
I would like to know this too, it is extremely important.

Anyone knows if it is compatible with the "standard" Sony XLR adapter such as this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SONY-XLR-ADA...item4179845c10 or only with the XLR-K1M? Also, what external battery would work best with the RX10? Switronix of some kind? -

Considering no external recorder is supporting Cinema DNG, and that recording 5K to SD cards would require alot of Compresssion, you can already forget about it. -

Can you please post footage taken from the RX10 HDMI output with an external recorder? It's really all I'm waiting for before pulling the trigger on this baby... -

A Canon video camera for the rest of us outside Hollywood
jpbelanger replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Congrats Andrew, your article explains every bit of tech specs we would need right now. But there's one more thing: I've been working in customer service for over 10 years and if there's one single customers can't stand is feeling they are not heard. Canon can bring every piece of high tech gear they want; if the people who actually BUY their products feel they don't care about them anymore, they will look somewhere else. Like someone else mentionned; look at Apple, selling pro products for 20 years and now they're clearly focussing on mass production instead
