  1. Hi Ed, Bit of an off topic, but what is the essential kit you need to make the F35 up and running? And how do you connect the 7Q to it?
  2. Just a sidenote, if Spike Lee has the right to say all kinds of things then it should be natural to accept anyone's right to call him racist. That's the beauty of the equation.
  3. "I will decide in the future to be more selective when I go to an event where you can’t just click off" You could have just walked out once you had enough. It's a polite sign of disapproval and if the makers are in the audience, they will take notice. Also as you said, everyone has the right to publish anything, so if you want to go further, write an honest review about the movie, perhaps on imdb.
  4. It has a bit too much CA and smearing for my taste, reminds me of the Panasonic LA7200. But it's great to see some real world tests, thanks Zak.
  5. Cosimo, I think there's no need for this mate. I understand you might want to take revenge, but just leave it be. Every 2nd person is pushing a business here now anyway, also competition is good in many ways.
  6. I remember seeing this (or a really close sibling) before. It is basically a sexy looking vimeo channel aiming to harvest 29$ a year for promoting someone's work?
  7. I had no intention to beat this dead horse again mostly out of respect for the seller, but since you are asking for it, here is a recent one, same price range what I mentioned: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ISCORAMA-ANAMORPHOT-1-5X-36-ISCO-GOTTINGEN-BEAUTIFUL-LENS-/141523953929 As I said keep your eyes on Ebay, surely they list those Isco's for 4-5k but no one is actually buying them for that much.
  8. Sure mate, good luck with the sale. The Nikon taking lens is handy indeed. Regarding the flares, I always preferred multi coated lenses (the new SLR Magic flares horribly in my opinion) but that's just my taste. That Isco 54 was a terrific buy, you can't deny that. The Cinegon I linked is actually single coated, probably like yours although it has a c-mount taking lens. Again, good luck and happy new year!
  9. How about this one mate? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161513402851 Ended a few weeks ago. And some others in the mentioned range: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121477103542 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111531667597 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191429284821 Keep your eyes open, happy days are coming!
  10. The price is a bit steep I think. They go £1300-1600 on Ebay nowadays.
  11. Yes, I would definitely take action with Fedex. Call their customer support and/or send emails. Maybe Mindaugas is on a holiday. Don't worry, PayPal should give you a refund if your lens doesn't make it to your doorstep, although I guess that's not what you are really looking for.
  12. Häns, that sounds like a smart solution to use VND's, could you post a close-up shot of your filter setup?
  13. Thanks for the offer Kristof, first I have to save up for the FM itself, haha.
  14. Nice find, but.. Ehh. Hopefully there's someone else who makes gears like this in the EU.
  15. That 2.5k sensor is capable to do 100fps. Pretty near from 220fps but good enough for me. But still, that has black sun spots too.
  16. If anyone is looking to dump his Iscorama for £200 please let me know! :P Haha, anyway, really happy to watch all this great footage. But until I see it working with a follow focus I would be hesitant to pull the trigger.
  17. He has to be careful with the warranty thing. Here's how it works in the UK for example: So actually you are able to chase anyone even after many years saying the product should have lasted longer and the fault is not due to natural wear & tear. *BMPCC broken HDMI ports, anyone?
  18. I agree about the somewhat weird warranty period and the lack of rails and everything, BUT.. I am sooo bloody excited to see this in action!!
  19. I wish they could unlock the HDMI to send 10bit 4:2:2 instead of the usual 8bit 4:2:0. Then it would stand a really good chance against the GH4 when the Shogun comes out. Internal H.265 is the next step for these consumer oriented cameras, no question about it, but having a better quality option for external capture is just awesome. I hope more more manufacturers will follow Panasonic next year.
  20. Um, what's with the Austrians? I think the maker of this lens is a Lithuanian bloke, based in London. Or that's just a name for that theory isn't it?
  21. Haha, spending £400 on a few rods and clamps, that's worse than Redrock prices :D
