Anyone here managed to sync two 600s or 5Ds for S3D work?

I don't think they can achieve sync. They had a similar sync issue with the GH1 with a pro 3D rig last year but I think the hack was able to solve it http://www.eoshd.com/content/379/get-your-glasses-out-pro-gh1-3d-rig-goes-live

Peter Chang showed me his work on Twitter. Although I don't think it represents a synced 3D video mode, they have managed it for time-lapse in stills mode on the 5D Mark II.

Nice footage.

You will need to click through to the YouTube one and change the 3D settings on the page to suit your glasses!

Nicely done, but could do with a plot. Very very interesting stuff.

A mixed bag. He's got an excessive IA indoors that hurts to watch full screen after a while, and not enough for the landscapes. There's persistent vertical and rotational disparities that would have been easy to fix. Strange that he didn't. But otherwise... it looks fantastic!

That first sequence looks like mild HDR, but if the subject's moving it can't be, could it? Looks real good. How did he do that? Was he shooting RAW and tone-mapped later?

At 3:26 (shades of Hugo?) you can see he had a problem with not being able to pull focus with his rig and should have stopped down. In 3D the softness really doesn't work, but once he's closer it's a great shot.

A really interesting little film. Thanks for the heads up.  ;)  Will download the SxS and look at it more closely on a proper monitor.

But it's still not running two cameras in real time.  :(
