  1. I would take a 1080p scanning laser projector (if they made a big consumer one) over a 4k/8k projector. I guess they dont make a consumer one bigger than an iPhone for safety reasons? Some movie theaters have them and they are gorgeous

In Lumetri color with Premiere Pro you can place one LUT in the 'basic' panel and one LUT in the 'creative' panel.

I'll check it out tomorrow, thanks

Use Colorizer. It was created by @Attila Bakos and this is exaclty what it was made for.

    Nice image!

Yeah, that's how I have created a handful of luts. Just trying to combine 2

Maybe I am missing something but why not simply export your LR settings as a LUT from LR and then use that with the Eterna LUT in Premiere Pro.

I was actually trying that; for some reason I cannot get two seperate luts on one adjustment layer to save as a single lut from lumetri color. I can do the combination by having the lut I made on the clip, then put the eterna kodak lut on an adjustment layer. However, when I copy the lumetri color (with my lut applied) on the clip and paste it into the adjustment layer, it overrides the eterna kodak. It just creates two lumetri color adjustments with my lut on each of them. Not sure how to save the combo yet.

  4. This is from a photo I took, adjusted in LR, then added a 3d lut in photoshop. I cannot get the exact same colors I want in the shadows in premiere pro..

The lut I applied in PS was the ETERNA 250D Kodak 2395; I can't export this as a Lut, because the only adjustments I did were applying the Lut on top of LR adjustments.

My main problem is, I cannot get the shadows to look exactly like this usually. I want that really clean brown you can see here (was green before LR + PS). It's not an orange and teal look really, it retains the natural colors from the scenes, minus whatever is in the shadows, but turns it a nice rich brown color.

I was getting somewhat close with the rgb curves, raising the red in shadows, dropping the green and blue shadow curve. It was just more orange, not a natural brown look though. Btw, is there a way to do a slight orton effect in a video? I couldn't find anything, I did a 9% one here and added sharpening back.

Oh yeah; the shadows were slightly bluish from LR, before applying the Eterna Kodak lut

(have to click on the linked image to see, shadows are too dark in preview for some reason)

  5. "In 1995 the company brought its first digital camera to market, the DC40. This was years before many others would get into the digital game, but Kodak never took advantage of its early start. Philisophically, the company was steeped in the film business, and to embrace digital meant cannibalizing its own business. Others quickly filled the niche, and Kodak didn't fully rev up its digital business until 2001, when it launched the EasyShare line of point-and-shoot cameras."

"Those rivals — including Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony, Canon and others — kept innovating over the years with features like face detection, smile detection, and in-camera red-eye fixes, and Kodak, while it put out competent products, was always following feature trends, never leading them."

"Don't be afraid to cannibalize your own business in the name of progress. Kodak has shown, if all you do is play it safe, the cost just to stay in the game will whittle you down until you've got nothing left."

  6. I thought the overheating thing was long done, but I saw tons of videos testing it and it's still happening (just 4k 24p 8 bit internal) even indoors. 22min for the a7iii, longer for the a7riii, but still under 35 min in the tests I saw. That be really embarrassing if you have an interview with someone important, that has limited time and you keep having your camera overheat before you can finish the interview... I don't see how they are going to pull off 4k 60 without external, let alone 4k 60 with 10 bit internal. That would be awesome if they did though.

  7. I might get one as a backup/ b cam. Would also be nice to take that for photos, instead of my 1dx on 20 mile backcountry mountain bike rides. I just don't know if I can bring myself to buy any of the new expensive RF glass if I can't adapt it to my dslr. They also need an RF-RF nd adapter. They are coming out with a new 24-70 2.8 IS, it should be 1.5lbs if it follows the same path the 24-105 did going to RF. 5 stops of lens IS is nice, it just is a shame that their 28-70 f2 and 50 f1.2 dont have IS. I actually doubt canon will have decent ibis until 2020; has anyone seen any patents for canon ibis??

If you are 28 you should be well graduate from college?  Or is college a tertially school in USA? ( I m not from us so not familiar with it)

in here college is high school so only ppl under 18 would study college.

I started and sold a web development company, specializing in SEO since I was 18. I didn't start until I was 23. I think this is getting a little off subject of the thread. I appreciate the assumptions though lol.

If you can afford 1DXII you are really far away from poor

EOS-R should be just pocket money to your parent lol

Always funny when people assume. I work full time (business consulting, internships) and go to school in CS, my parents have given me exactly $0.00 since I was 18 and I am 28 now.

Was this shot in France?  Must have shot from Belgium for those wide shots.

Stopped watching at 0:07 when he said "shoots 8 frames per second" - yeah, not if your subject is actually moving.  AF locked at that speed.

Day 2 other things that are super annoying - the top left button is *ONLY* the freaking on/off switch.  That's it folks!

You can't (yet) shoot anything other than SINGLE SHOT mode for silent shooting

You can't (yet) shoot using EYE AF using tracking - it's single shot only

FPS drops to THREE when tracking is enabled.

Goodnight people.  This feels rushed to be honest.

He does say what it shoots at with ai servo and canon has said that they will release firmware this year, that enables continuous burst with eye af. I don't really care about eye af personally.

Looks good to me. Can't bring myself to pull the trigger until Panasonic shows their hand. They just might surprise us all.

Yeah, and Sony is supposed to release some interesting things this month too. I know Canon will nail their pro version, so switching to sony/nikon etc., then back will get expensive. I'm just a poor college student! haha

With a little lot of temporal noise reduction, I'm getting some pretty impressive results out of this sensor.

Granted, there are some artifacts from the heavy NR, but it still looks quite usable to me.

Shot 30 minutes after sunset. For an idea of how little light there was, look at the headlights on the hill in the background at the start of the clip, the various phone screens you can see throughout, and the city lights in the background towards the end.

I haven't owned any of DJI's previous drones but I have a hard time believing any of the 1/2.3" sensors would have been able to get anything remotely looking like this.

Looks good! But why so jumpy? What were the camera & post settings?
