Let's put all this on rest, OK? Let's focus strictly on the topics please. This is Andrew's house.
His good efforts simply don't deserve it. Nor your past contributions and fellowship, Jon! I'd still appreciate to follow your posts and juicy insights over these boards (your readers need you! : ) so refrain yourself to write any personal attacks addressed to others, I guess we all beg you.
We are all human beings. Opposite POVs can be written without offending the other side. No one likes to be publicly attacked, isn't it? As much as it is really unpleasant to see you or anyone else to be attacked here too.
Only goodwill may able to be considered welcome.

    Regards to everyone,
    E :-)

This is just getting silly now. Canon is a company that is in business to make money. To make money, a business needs to offer a product or service that people want or need. If the entry level market needed these “features,” that Canon apparently diabolically leaves out of their lower tiered camera models, and Canon was losing sales opportunities based upon these needed features, then why wouldn’t they include said features?
Furthermore, I am one hundred percent sure Canon understands the entry level, interchangeable lens, camera market better than some videographers on a forum does.
It’s been repeated time and time again on this forum that the market share isn’t large enough for all of these companies, so eventually other companies will go the way of Samsung and I can guarantee it won’t be Canon.
With that being said, I do wish Canon would be more aggressive with their lower tiered products because I love using Canon cameras. But when it comes time for me to upgrade, and if Canon doesn’t offer a product I need or want, then I will look elsewhere but I won’t waste my time assigning conspiracy theory motives to their marketing and product choices.

I haven't adressed him in a long time and even asked him to stop talking to me. Nothing seems to help. Its really starting to get weird when he even calls it "off topic" when someone answers something he wrote himself. He constantly attacks people. Lie about what people have said even though its there in black and white... sigh..
He even make up lies claiming he knows me and my personal life when everyone knows we live on opposite sides of the planet..
I think I will just stay away from the forum all together until there is a moderator that can deal with this endless toxic BS.
Happy trails everyone, try to keep it positive and don't let the haters win.
    Peace

Yeah right, they just give it to you for free. Its not baked into the price or anything...
Exactly, how a few forum dudes believe that they somehow know more than what he actually says is beyond me.
That Panasony and the others does the exact same thing is just ignored.

Your original comment was "I always have a hard time saying a stills camera sucks just because its not the best video camera in the world. If video is that important I use a video dedicated camera."
The essence of this, the whole forum here, and posts by @Andrew Reid are exactly about those cameras. I am truly surprised that you haven't noticed that. Mostly we care about video in smaller, relatively cheaper, or not, hybrid cameras - cameras that a big, or even the biggest proportion of its life will shoot video, etc There are unlimited photo-centric forums around, I do post on a couple, because photography is my hobby, but here, I mainly come for the video aspect of things.
My comment was sarcastic, because the famous people on the original post of the OP, are using this said camera for video, so it is only fair that we can review the video performance.
No one judged anything, but you, the ability of us to use "photo" cameras for video, and review them for the ability, or not, to shoot adequate video for our needs.
I do like cameras to be 50/50, that is why I staying NX. I do use dedicated video cameras with bigger projects and I love them, my next buy I want to be one (hopefully a C100mkIII or FS5mklI). Your opinion is well respected and heard all the time, no need for passive-aggressive statements.
    Peace.

Canon forces you to shoot 60 fps in 10bit RAW. (Found this out the hard way on a shoot.) Think about that. They fucking have an intermediary 10bit codec right there ready to go, but say fuck you, deal with 125 MB/s. (BTW: 24 fps 10bit on the C200 would theoretically top out at 50MB/s, which is half the size of 422 ProRes HQ.)
Anyone who can defend Canon for pulling shit like this, do they pay you? Or do you just not shoot with these cameras to really understand how flawed they are?

Your right. They are just the largest and most successful manufacturer of both mirrorless and DSLRs with huge profits. But this announcement must appeal to a OliKMIA or they are done. Because they are one single customer short of bankruptcy.
