  1. Can't do the test because I don't own a FF camera. (have a panasonic 25mm, sony E mount 35, and bunch of vintage lenses, vivitar 24mm f2.8(not sure), super takumar 50mm f1.4, jupiter 85 f2, super takumar 135mm f3.5, mamiya 200 f3.5. As for the or the lego test, I am not sure I understood the results... 1/4 sensor and 2mm lens- what is this? anyway sorry the distances from the camera are not the same, and the results are not clear either because there is no background. But damm I really would like to be proven wrong, and I appreciate your replys and the topic. nope there is wall behind us... we can't go back further.
  2. I do own a gh2 and a a6500 with turbo booster (0.7 crop)... so not a FF yet
  3. I don't agree at all. Its not about DOF. Its about distortion and compression. FF is not just about DOF and all m4/3 users should understand how optics affect the image .You can't get a 50mm look in a m4/3 with a 25mm. You can however buy a speed booster, use FF lenses to get an approximated look...
  4. What about lens distortion and lens compression?? -> shooting portraits with 50mm in a FF is not the same as a 25mm in a m4/3...
  5. Have you checked the new SmallHD Focus? Looks promising! I
  6. i've installed an free light app that allows to change kelvin values. I am not using EOSHD color so I am not sure this will help at all for nailing those WB settings. Pocket Softbox (using android)
  7. I am using Resolve 12.5 for editing for 5 or 6 months now. (I was using it just for (learning) color grading at first) Looking back, sure the stabiliser isn't as good as Premiere's but that is about what I miss the most in edit side of things... From the color grading point of view, Resolve is by far a more powerful tool. I've installed the free V14 in a old machine (macbook pro 2011) and I can see performance benefits. V12.5 would just crash or just freeze with UHD clips H264 on this machine. Now, well it still can't manage 4k but it does not crash and does make a better job in playing or trying to play UHD clips. I have Yosemite in my main machine along with V12.5. I will be making the move once beta is over. Looking forward to! Edit: I've also installed the free version of Fusion. I do not know after effects but I might as well try to learn Fusion instead. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/fusion
  8. Thanks Axel. I will give this feelword a try since its already on its way, and share my thoughts after a while.
  9. I have the Tiffen VND. Can't really tell much about it because its my only VND and I have no experience with other brands. I do get a lot of flaring using it with the a6500. When facing bright light the light gets bounced from the sensor into the ND and then again to the sensor creating some weird flaring. Don't know if this happens with other filters as well though.
  10. Thanks Axel! I don't think I can do "the Geordie La Forge" look in public. I do understand they can be useful for framing. I can see this technology evolving and giving us histogram, zebra, false color... How about external viewfinder? could mount it on the cranes's dual handheld grip... zacuto is way out of my budget right know, and not many budget options out there though.
  11. I am struggling to expose in Slog2. Tried to ETTR but having the a6500 on the Crane with Slog2 is a bright sunny day makes it impossible to see the camera screen. In post I've found that most times my exposure was off and could not get the colour right on skin tones. I have just order a cheap external monitor, but I am not sure i made a good choice. (Feelworld 760) Anyway, please keep updating this post and sharing experiences.
