I'm planning to sell this for EU 500 and split the amount with Tim, only because Ebrahim can't afford to repay us directly. This is a coulance/leniency, because we could've just forced him to repay us all. The extra tax will come out of his pocket. So no yapping here. Just stating facts. James, Tim and I are walking away without any loss. I'm just being clear about it upfront.

Small update, DHL has contacted me for the delivery of a package. With EU 44,50 import tax.

If the RF can't be sold for 500,-, but less, then I suggest Ebrahim covers the missing amount to cover our expenses. I think that's fair. But I think we can sell it for 500,-.

He said it to demotivate me from persuing him, not to actually taunt me. Not the best strategy if I may add. I've said it from the beginning and I'll stick with it. He's a good kid, I saw that from his profiles (that's why I bought in the first place, even though I'm the cautious type). He made some really poor choices and needs to address his catfishing habits. If this thread is a new beginning for Ebrahim where he stays truthful, then it's much bigger than three guys getting their money back. He deserves a second chance at that age. Let's see if he follows through.

Yeah this is getting more and more tangled with every post. So, the logical conclusion is that the grandson did it for whatever reason, he needed some money, he got caught up with the wrong people... Whatever. And now, if the OG Ebrahim even exists, he is covering up for the kid, knowing the kid could get into BIG trouble for this since multiple international laws have been broken. Most likely OG Ebrahim has reached out to an attorney and will end up not paying because, that is some form of admission of guilt. But in reality, until OG Ebrahim confirms his identity through some form of video chat or by uploading a video of himself discussing the matter, there is no other explanation but to assume he never existed... Or has passed away since he joined this forum. Unfortunately there is probably little legally to be done, I'm sure the Egyptian authorities have more important things to do and I doubt Interpol will look into it... If they even have any authority or connections in Egypt. So unless there's a link to this kid and some bigger criminal enterprise, involving other fake forum members on this site and other sites... Doubtful anything can really be done. But this is seriously some interesting shit... If Ebrahim was here, he'd ask me to watch my language... Fuck 'em. Wow. That's pretty damning. How could someone hack into his Facebook, EOSHD acct, and have a fake ID to pick up money at Western Union. PLUS have access to the gear that he was known to have. If you're logging into your Facebook, or forums frequently (which it looks like he does), you're going to see messages from 6 people inquiring about transactions. This was over a substantial amount of time too.

Ebrahim 'Senior' signs off with a Gmail address in his response you can reach him on. But if you type it in Gmail, guess who's profile pic pops up...

I checked out with slr magic if indeed ebrahim saadawi was included in the development of their optics. This was their reply.

He doesn't respond at all when sending him a message about the refund.

He had extensive knowledge of the rangefinder and showed me this picture, so it's definitely him. He also picked up the cash using his own identity.

I think the kid is just young and stupid and probably wants a new camera really bad or something. It comes across as an impulsive deed, not something structural, because we have all of his personal information (address). His confessions online. I found his brother and sister online, all of his friends and three of his professors at school. He comes from a good family and a good school. Right now it's still contained to this forum, so he can still make it right before it spirals out of control. PS what happened with Philip Bloom @jase?
