How did you get all of the stable shots-shoulder rig?glide cam? Steady hand?

Can you explain how you got that skip frame effect when an opponent would lands punch/kick...I kept on watching trying to understand what was going on.

Nikon d5200 nikkor dx 35mm 1.8mm imovie 10.0 No grading or adjustments. Left it kind of choppy and unstable to give it as much a home-video feel as possible. this is my very first foray into any video, but would love to improve so any tips you can provide would be appreciated.
