  1. And there are no details at all about this new firmware. Could it be that they just raised the version number to block ML?
  2. I liked the posts of Matt James Smith. He challenged Andrew. He's gone. I like your posts. You challenged Andrew. Please don't leave
  3. You can install the 40Mbps hack on the D5200 (64Mbps with beta), and with the Flaat11 profile you can get some impressive results.
  4. They don't want to risk it. There was a rumor that Canon will not remain silent if someone attempts to modify the software of the EOS-1 body.
  5. I think this forum engine (IP Board) does not come with this feature by design, you can only do this with optional 3rd party plugins. But let's wait for Andrew's answer.
  6. Don't. You have the right to ask, and you deserve an answer, even if it's a simple "it's none of your business". Way too much emotions in the reactions, let this go.
  7. I'm talking about 60 progressive frames, not interlaced. EDIT: sorry for the double post. Andrew, if you are seeing this, I got an error page after posting, and now my post is doubled.
  8. Yeah MPC-HC can play H265, but it needs CPU power. I downloaded the UHD files from imaging-resource.com when they first came out. My i7-3770 can play them, but all the cores are used up to 100%, and the playback is not perfectly fluid. I don't have a dedicated graphics card, but I guess it wouldn't help. EDIT: just downloaded the newest 1.7.7, they made a huge improvement in HEVC playback. Now the core usage goes up to 60%, and NX1 UHD plays perfectly!!
  9. Sure, this is what I see first: Then I click "Follow this", and it gets me to this page: Then I click "Follow this" again, and the result is: It has to do something with the topics I followed before the new engine, as I have no problems following anything else.
  10. I already posted this in another tread, but let's move it here: If I try to follow this tread: "Let's see what the Samsung NX1 is REALLY capable of - shooting 4K in sunny Lisbon", I get a popup, where I can click "Follow this". Then I get another page with the same content as the popup. If I click "Follow this" again, I get this message: "Sorry, there is a problem Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX1062" I noticed, that the same happens with older topics I followed earlier. Now with this new engine my followed content is gone, and I can't re-follow them. However, I can easily follow new topics. I checked this in the latest IE, FF, and Chrome, it's not browser dependent. I'm on Windows 7, if that matters.
  11. What if you want to record 1080p60 at 4:2:2 with the C100II? The Atomos Shogun or the Odyssey 7Q+ is overkill for this purpose. Any cheaper options, without 4K?
  12. The NX1 seems to have a nasty rolling shutter in UHD mode:
  13. Wow the NX1 is much sharper in slow motion, compared to the A7S: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW5Ov1AkFHc
  14. I'd agree with you but transcoding will be an extra step, and it will require extra time. Possibly a lot. Some people can't afford that. They will jump in when HEVC is supported by our editing softwares, or maybe even later, when it's supported by hardware.
  15. A short video comparison between the D750 and 5D3: The D750 is sharper and not as warm as the 5D3, but honestly I can't see a major difference. I'd love to see it compared to 5D3 RAW. There is a link to the source MP4 in the video description.
  16. Just found some new samples on vimeo, they are part of an upcoming review I think: Continuous AF:
  17. Some test samples with downloadable originals here: http://tekniikanmaailma.fi/kuva-ja-aani/testit-ja-pikakokeet/nikon-d750/nikon-d750-videot Notice the moiré on the last video.
  18. Slashcam tested the D750 video features, they even compared it to the D810 and GH4 here: http://www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/Nikon-D750---Nikons-beste-Fullframe-Video-DSLR-bisher---Das-wahre-Leben.html#Das_w As I see it has about the same image quality as the D810, just a tiny bit softer.
  19. I think it was mentioned earlier, but please add Tapatalk support. They have a plugin for IPBoard, easy to install.
