  1. The XC10 is such a good concept. If only it came with a S35 or FF sensor, interchangeable EF mount and 4K60p.
  2. RAW picture taken from the Hyperlapse. Super satisfied with the stills quality vs Mavic 1 (click and open in new page the image for full quality)
  3. My first try Hyperlapse, shot in RAW edited manually (view in 4K in Chrome for full quality)
  4. Agree with your message @Andrew Reid but personnally I prefer to have the specs over the ergonomics. Sure both would be nice. But with the A7III this summer even though menus and specs are not perfect, the improvement VS last generation (battery life, custom menus,...) were enough for me to not be too much bothered. Now with the same specs (nikon Z6) I will choose the Nikon for sure. But if Sony brings the A7S with 4K60p 10 bit and more well again I will prefer that more than a Z6. As soon as the camera is usable enough spec win for me. Of course ideally we would have a Z7 with 4K60 10bit internally and nice 240p. But this is not coming before 3 years next gen so A7S or S1 it will be. Fuji XT3 while waiting. And I am sure A7S will bring new Venice color science so that should be one more improvement for this line..
  5. By the way he says the camera will be better than customer expectations. Then he says customer want 4K60p 10 bit 4:2:2 with better AF. So this means the camera will be better than that. Looking forward to getting my 4K120p 12bit A7S III with Canon-like DPAF !! ?
  6. As it happens, I used all summer an A7III and gimbal and 28-75mm. Now I am buying the Fuji combo, why? Because of 4K60p and better 120p. 10bit, colors and ergonomics being an added bonus. when A7SIII with Fuji specs is out (or S1 but we know AF will probably suck) we can speak again but i agree with you, it sucks to go back to APSC for more weight and crop ... but no choice as good slowmo is a must for me
  7. Absolutely NO way the a7siii comes in 2 years from now. They went back to the design when Panasonic announced the S1, now they are just trying to add 4K60 10b without overheating. This will be a 2019 camera. 90% of the camera is probably done and now they are trying to make it work technically. Also, I agree with you, this shitty Japanese mentality of “we do what customer want”. It’s too late. Apple said that ages ago: if you wait for your customer to tell you what they want, by the time you bring the product on the shelf they want something else. And it’s never been so true. Their job is to anticipate customer needs 2y in advance so they meet the need when the camera is ready.
  8. The point was that a camera with no stab at all (IS or IBIS) on a gimbal shows vibrations. It's better to have IS or IBIS on a gimbal. This is very well known and proved even by the video just sent.
  9. 18-55 is stabilized. Same as IBIS.
  10. They used a RONIN S. The other guy is right, IBIS is necessary especially on gimbal because it removes micro vibrations.
  11. So the 16mm 1.4 is no good for video AF? Might get a 16-55mm then. No IS and no IBIS though
  12. Does someone has a link that says which Fuji lens have good AF tracking performance in video, and which are to be avoided? Edit: answering myself: https://alikgriffin.com/a-complete-list-of-fujifilm-x-mount-lenses/ Edit2: this gives info for contrast AF only. Not relevant. My question still stands
  13. Look at the 120p !!! it beats GH5 1080, A7III 1080 and RX100 1080 even with 24p vs 120p on the XT3. Insane.
  14. Thanks for posting So much better indeed. Look at the text phrase under the squares. Damn, much better even than D5500 1080p24 which is pretty good for 1080p. I am buying this thing, at least until the S1 and A7SIII come. Wow, good to finally get a great 120p. It's even better than RX100 VI 1080p24 !!
  15. Because the plane got wifi, like 98% of planes flying in the US
  16. “I am not worried about bricking my camera, because it’s already a brick with a 1.8x crop and rolling shutter to make the leaning tower of Pisa look straight.” that moment when I laugh hard in the plane and everyone looks at me...
  17. 1st question: it’s just mainly the flange distance making it harder to have wide angle light lenses 2nd : no 3rd : no 4: afford yes. But for a 2kg piece of glass that only manual focus, absolutely not
  18. When you watch the FHD footage of this camera you start see this option should not even exist considering the awful output. Absolutely to to come back on topic, I think the eoshd community and similar video minded people are aware of what RS is, and we don’t buy a camera because of Peter M review. The thing is we might represent 10% of people who buy those cameras, even for video use. 90% of buyers are not educated. You might think at 2-3K price point only pros and passionate educated photographer and videographers buy but no, most of them are the Average Joe with more money than other Joe and he wants good camera. You would be very surprised how many 5D canon sold to people who shoot JPG full auto only. My whole point is Andrew is right, and I think those influencers have a big influence on a lot of people buying those cameras. So it’s a shame when their reviews are far from reality whether it’s because they are paid or because they are poorly educated themselves. Sometimes I watch absurdities on video technical aspects on YouTube with people having millions of followers.
  19. @Andrew Reid would love to hear your view on this particularly A7III vs Z7 vs XT3 as they seem to have the best 120p.
  20. @mojo43 saw your latest YT video for gimbals. You say you switch to moza because crane does not barrel. Well, I have a Crane Plus and it does barrel...Same for the angle. So be careful because your are comparing moza current model with old Crane stuff. On my side, the Crane Plus (one size under Moza Air) is better than the Moza equivalent Aircross.
