  1. Imagine the meeting where one of them suggested banning eoshd URLs in the forum and others said yea, its a good idea lets do it. Imagine the volume of RAW arrogance in that room.
  2. I can open his forum to see the comments but got 404 error when I clicked on post titles! What a joke.
  3. They did their best to lower the cost of production as extreme as possible and yet they reported lower profit for their half year.
  4. Its not hate. Its a natural reaction to absurdity of CEO's cluelessness about the company in her hand.
  5. The name of the company should be Cinetrolla.
  6. You can use your camera as a card reader, but Japanese use low cost parts in cameras so its way slower than what USB3 is able to deliver.
  7. He set WB manually at 4000. All of them has color balance problem in low light.
  8. "The global shutter operates only when the shutter speed is faster than 1/120" Seems not ready for photography. Probably can't handle too much electrons.
  9. I like a lot what I see here, but seems Sony has some metering issue (or profile?).. look at the clipped highlights in 8 bit part:
  10. With all these announcements they have to beef up many things.
  11. I think the overexpose is not the right term here. Exposure is light, filtered by time, filtered by aperture. Period. ISO has nothing to do with that. But, basically you use higher ISO to "underexpose" and get equal brightness of normally exposed image (which is important for action photographers, they can use higher shutter speed without the image "look" darker). So in case of log, they don't tell you to overexpose, they just ask you to Not Underexpose!
  12. Can't judge Z with this one.. the atteractiveness of the girl makes a heavy bias.
  13. GH5S has 7 high deviations and its #4. Z7 looks very similar to D850 but look at the 6 and 7 rows, it has more deviations in skin tone ranges.
  14. There is more accurate way: "Resolution in frames grabbed from video shot at low ISO is 1042 LP/PH (96 percent of the theoretical maximum) and 972 LP/PH at high ISO (90 percent)." https://www.pdnonline.com/gear/cameras/mirrorless/nikon-z7-camera-review/
  15. You guys need to understand that shot noise is different from sensor noise. All these new CMOS sensors are very low noise chips, regardless of their area size, so what you see is mostly shot noise, which is revealed in low light situations where randomness of the photons appears as noise, and you can't do much about that other than temporal noise reduction that is better be applied in post. So for comparing two cameras, you have to test them in exactly identical environment, "my footage is cleaner than your footage" is stupid method.
  16. I'm sure you guys can grade better, but I loved the footage https://vimeo.com/290295765
  17. The only reason I learned there is a company named BMD was EOSHD. Maybe I'm not important for this company that they don't care if I know about them, or how is my perception about them. But someday I will buy a dedicated video camera, and thats not gonna be thier product. You know.. customers don't grow on trees.
  18. With GS, you have to put a relatively big capacitor for every pixel, so its always noisier than non-GS sensor. But note that it can be on-off feature, so you will be able to switch back to RS.
  19. Yes, its mentioned in brochure. I don't know, but why would you need that with log and external recording? Its most useful for 8bit internal recording that you are strongly limited in lifting the shadows in post.
