I'm tempted to pick up a GoPro. Tom Majerski did a comparison to the BMCC after using a "de-fisheye" plugin with a LUT. Looks pretty good.

The motion cadence on blackmagic cameras is superb.
-
Yes it works.

IMO the 4K on the GH4 isnt really about delivering/finishing in 4K. It's about getting really really good 1080p. The 100Mbps bitrate isn't really that large and it seems like any decent computer that's less than two years old or so will be able to handle editing and playback. The price difference between the GH4 and the other cams is indeed pretty large though; it's up to you to evaluate your gear situation and see if that money would be better spent on lenses, support, lighting, etc.
This.

Nice. Does anyone know what the difference in Gamma Log and CineD flat could be, other than saturation?
-
Definitely worth the wait for electronic connection.
-
You can also add a LUT to an adjustment layer and bring down the opacity to the desired strength.
-
Cinema DNG files are now playable/editable inside Premiere. Haven't figured out how to open Adobe Raw Editor yet in Premiere though.
-
The Mask Tracking feature is huge. It's always added an extra step to have to link together with After Effects.
-
Do you have any other shots with the RX100?
-
Rx100 1st.
-
If it's ungraded I'm guessing the BMPCC is the second one.

I downloaded these LUTs and they're not nearly as impressive as Film Convert's customization. The Osiris LUTs are cool b/c they're stylized.

I have an i7-4770k with a GTX760, 32gb RAM. It works flawlessly with Premiere and GH4 footage.
-
I'd just go with the 12-35 and call it a day. It's an awesome lens.
-
Aaron, that does look spectacular. Any video clips showing how that looks?
It is from Jacob Neilsens test here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9mt8hkrfk6hepj0/GH4%20UHD-Ninja%20Blade%2010bit%20test%20footage.mov

Very nice. Added an Osiris LUT with no other changes. Looks great!

Do they make an ef to bmpcc speedbooster? Aren't speedboosters $399?
They make versions on ebay that have pretty good reviews for around $130. Word is that Metabones will release their version very soon. Honestly, if I were you and you end up going with the BMCC, I would get the MFT version. You gain alot by having a speedbooster in front of that crop factor.
-
You will have more of a crop with EF glass on the BMCC than speedboosted EF glass on the Pocket. But as of right now, no IS.
No need for SSDs if you're shooting short clips. BMPCC has swappable batteries.
Resolve Lite is free. Unless you're rendering 3D or 4k you won't notice a difference. -
If you're only shooting 10-30 second clips I'd go for the Pocket cam. Get an EF to MFT focal reducer for your Canon glass.

This movie looked like another POS summer blockbuster after seeing the trailer. Once I saw 93% on rotten tomatoes it got me interested. It ended up being one of the best movies Ive seen this year.
-
Is it a metabones speedbooster or a chinese focal reducer?
Is GH4 worth it if I won't be using 4k?
