  1. nice pretty shots of plastic lens with zero fotos through the looking glass at f1.8.

ask a question cut and paste the answer onto the sales sheet like it is the voice of an expert seller.

hey mr that 4000 dollar lens have you put it on your camera

does it optically do the job it was made for.

does it do the job well at f1.8 ?

    what

    what did you say

you have not tested it and you want how much

    really

    wow.

yes yes i nose der fotos look perty butt datt just fotos of a piece of plastic until someones fotographically test it in it..

just a normal iscorama sales day.

  2. well i am not doing requests : )
that is the way to madness i am already bankrupt and mental enough.
i am not trying to achieve anything as i have a working item i think it is ok not for 5d size sensor and it is not an iscorama replacement.
but it should best the slr magic thing : )
    i think?
unless they upgrade the mark 3 prototype to 4.
  3. it is worth good money if in great optical and physical condition.

if you are un sure about condition get a service from bernie o at 16.9 it will keep the value high as he is a motion picture camera and lens service tech.

that looks like it is from late 60s early 70s nice vintage something this old should have the a helicoid clean and regrease and alignment check.

the iscorama 54 was 1400 german dm in the late 80s used mainly by super 8 shooters the cameras cost 200-300 so that gives you an idea of it's high cost.the best camera at the time was the leicina special at 500 dm so big bucks for a lens only used sometimes.

the advantage of iscorama is the original 1958 design covered 35mm format as it was design for stills cameras so edge to edge performance is simply superb for the time even today stick that on the movie camera that shot the last bond movie and it will out resolve the sensor.

do not take it apart or mess with it to much a lot of iscorama have issues. do not give it to a mate or a local repair guy that would be lunatic.

the smaller and more advanced movie cameras get the more this type of lens will be sort after.

  4. only china can compete with china i am not in china.
i cannot compete with vid atlantic and his china crap clamps never mind getting into optics.
never have been that hungry for the cut and thrust of cockmanship

    the image quality looks good
and so it should they are a lens company after all.
simply stated they are lazy that's all.
fella whoever you are, i never shit on this product i pointed and guessed on what they have done.
not difficult when you look at the design.

i do have a test lens if your ever in london i can show you pretty sharp at f1.4 as well. but as i said never been one for sports or the cut and thrust of competition i leave that to the jocks and the capitalists.
  5. 100s of variable as in optical design variables.

posh anamorphics did not sell well in the  8 and 16mm years mainly lunatics a few could afford iscorama most happy with sankor projection lens.mnost of the use was for projecting movies not shooting then projecting zero market.

nothing to do with being affraid.

2 extremes hollywood big boys and home movie projection nutters the home movie guys just did not shoot a lot of scope.

and as i am sure you know the optex century was a quick product to fill a gap for companies like the bbc who had 100s of cameras with 4.3 sensors.

  6. anyone dumping iscorama and moller 1.5 i will buy them all seriously

i really think you should dump them quick before they are worth 100 dollars.

vintage germany cannot compete with modern china copy of a copy.

i have 600 dollars per lens waiting for you guys get out quick china is coming

and they have a revamped optex ready for ya : )

as for the lexus is it lexus tweaked panasonic yes no

  7. Andrew states it has a 50mm rear element, comparing it to the Iscorama 54. In the picture where he's holding it with the Panasonic 20mm pancake lens attached you can clearly see a 46mm->52mm step-up ring. So the rear threads are 52mm, which makes this essentially the same size as a Century Optics adapter.

they purchased everything on the market including iscorma and they went with the century optex this makes sense as the glass for the century optex was china.
2 single element system is much cheaper and less complex than spaced doublet with expensive complex focus assemblies.
the glass orientation of the x y was the main issue this then is an optex with more accurate alignment with small close focus adjustment built in.
my guess is the only improvement will be quality of the metal housing structure and different spacing of the plano concave and convex and maybe more factory accuracy of the cutting of the glass.

  8. eyes is gonna wait for the 1000 dollah reduck tion on der black magic pocket camera next year after they anonce the new pocket replacement for der old pocket camera dat came out 2 days before the annocement of the new pocket camera.
how can you complain wid next years pocket reducktion they will be paying you a dollar to take the camera from them that has to be a good deal yes no.

  9. bernie can give you great informed view once he has the lens.

once he has it give him a call explain what you would like doing.

he worked for years in samuelsons uk one of the biggest movie camera rental companies in the world.

he can be very fast even when he is slow it is not slow compared to all the other clowns doing this.

put a note in with the lens and explain clearly what you need doing then call him later he can advise what is a good idea or bad.

just talk it out so everyone is happy.

as i said before i recently gave him 2 boxes of loose optics and metal that he rebuilt in less than 2 weeks i complained that it was to quick : )

  10. no sorry to much pain.

i always thought mr wonders clip looked soft.

any rehouse company needs at least 3 people working for them doing rebuilds if not you wait long time.

i have a couple of rough iscos that i am sending to bernie at 16.9 he will turn them around in 3 weeks.

no rehousing but will make them the best they can be.

even sent him loose stuff in boxes that he has repaired for me.

as i said vandiemen can work if you factor plenty time and do not pay to much cash up front.

  11. one repair guy with 80 cooke and leica lens to convert 2 pl mount a constant stream of other optics turning up no job ever turned away.

    zero turnaround improvement.

if 12 months was put on the web site nobody would send stuff in.

this mr mystery who got his back quick i do not believe it.

get  him on here to talk of all things time.

  12. remember tommy a long time ago i told you some info about time and promises above all bad excuses.
you are in the time vortex 8 months 10 months.
paying up front speeds the process up
    not.
i told ya so all those months ago.
    just sayin

never believe a man that has your money and your iscorama.

as my dad once never said to me.

son dontes you ever let a man

hold yer balls and yer wallet at the same time.

    WELCOME 2

    diemonland

you have entered the time loop into the infinite.
some people die waiting i hope your young and spunky : )
time runs but in vandiemen land it is still.

  13. best 2 factor in min of 6 months max 14 months.

    just sayin :)

NOBODY HAS EVER RECEIVED SOMETHING FROM VAN DIEMEN IN 60 DAYS.

    just sayin.

you are best off buying 2 iscorama and send 1 off in case the conversion takes 14 months.

  14. old bolex made 40 years ago crap tired arri 2 you can use it now and in der future.
the film look is kind of natural yes no

  15. that was a good price these are very rare.

baby iscorama  only input from zeiss was the coatings.

suffers a little from smearing as the back element was very small.

stupid rare because the few that where made most would of been dumped in the 60s or separated from the weird zeiss camera it was made for.

the missing link this may have been made available slightly before the exakta iscorama which was the first iscorama

zeiiss where a joke in anamorphics in the past most made by moller this baby thing is made by  isco
