  1. At least there is some decent Laowa 7.5mm footage out now.. although it's not known what aperture this was shot at. Some nice footage from James Miller too.

@TurboRat I am using the Kipon Baveyes Ultra (speedbooster) - Contax to m43 to adapt Zeiss to GH and eventually to the P4K when it arrives, working well with the 50mm 1.7 and 35-70mm 3.4 lenses, slowly building a set of these ?
  3. You're right in that the shots don't compare like for like, as I wait for Blackmagic to provide some more cameras for those who have ordered them, it was an interesting watch. The OP of the video said he will likely post some side by side stuff at some point ?
  4. Interesting when you consider the price difference.. ? and the grade like you say...
  5. An interesting comparison between P4K and C200
  6. The Laowa 7.5mm has no distortion correction on Panny cameras but doesn't show these soft edge issues. https://imgur.com/PSGFH9G Still awaiting my camera so have only got a link the image posted on ...user.com
  7. Has anyone with the camera tried any wide/ultra wide lenses yet? There seem to be reports of some focus issues.. http://www.bmcuser.com/showthread.php?22425-Soft-edges-with-wide-angle-lenses-on-the-BMP4K
  8. Not much to celebrate at a launch party with no details and no cameras..
  9. @Alpicat Had the invite, but had other stuff on.. Have BM said when we might get our cameras?

@Mmmbeats if you've been looking at the Zeiss range you have probably come across the Zeiss survival guide.. if not, it's quite an interesting read ? looking at the zeiss contax lenses myself recently, liking the look they give.. those classics look really nice too.

Does anybody have experience of the Panasonic 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 lens on BMPCC considering this for the P4K but without a manual focus ring is it going to be a pain to use with only touch focus? Thanks.
  13. @kyeNot sure geographically where you are, but I use camerapricebuster for UK price histories on cameras and lenses.. https://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Panasonic/Panasonic-G-System-Cameras/Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-GH5-Camera-Body not sure if there are other versions of the site, but this may give you what you need?
  14. Interesting look at the new Panny cams from the BBC.. They mention the possibility of "colour depth difference" between the two cameras? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-45627055
  15. I think I read somewhere the P4K screen is based on the BM video assist? Although I haven't heard what those screens are like either.. ?
  16. @Snowfun Is the rear screen one of the hard glass varieties? One of the main features of the flippy type (GH series) is that the screen can be turned inward as protection when the camera is in a bag, the use of a protector on non flippy screens is a must for me.
  17. Not a fan of cross posting but adding the autofocus guide to the main posts for each camera so folks don't miss the new info.. New autofocus guide - Link mods please remove if required ?
