The photosites are bigger [/quote] Let's not forget the biggest driver of the video quality: Canon basically determines the video quality (like a setting) after-the-fact to maintain product differentiation. Looking at the ISO noise chart it (can't find it now) looks like ISO 10000 @ 5dMK3 == ISO 20000 @ 1DX. Was looking for video test but NOBODY has tested it yet (high ISO 5dmk3 vs 1DX).
