Sara
Ah the Voigtlander 25mm. Your blog is the reason I bought one and will buy a second since my neighbor won't give it back (bhphoto out of stock atm - adorama has them however but I have bh gift card). Using the 20mm F1.7 Panny now but it just isn't the same. Miss how close I could focus with the Voigtlander and its bokeh. Of all your videos I always enjoy your footage shot with the Voigtlander 25mm the most. This video of your is stunning! Funny that when BHphoto first started selling the lens it was $899. Now they sell out at $1199. *sigh* http://youtu.be/9FoxmO5OETM
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted January 5, 2012 Author Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2012 Hand made and so well built! Don't think they can keep up with demand which is why the price has rocketed in some places. It is worth the money though, unique character... unique on the entire M43rd's system actually. Sara
This is where I bought mine. http://www.ownuser.com.tw/e_paypal_panasonic.html Wonder where Andrew got his?
pdc
Yes the Nokton is a favorite, especially at night. For daytime, with a little telephoto required, I'm using a Pentax f4 35-70 which seems to be parfocal - cost me $40, and so far I'm a fan. Max
I really like the videos, however i think much more camera movements should be added using a Steadicam. Static shoots don't looks that good, camera should move most of the time.
Administrators Andrew Reid Posted January 6, 2012 Author Administrators Share Posted January 6, 2012 Disagree max. Movement for movements sake is no good.
BruceR
I just got the ownuser battery box for the GH2, I tested it with 2 GH2 Panasonic batteries on movie mode and it ran 3hr 20 mins before the battery symbol starting blinking red. I see the GH1 batteries work also, maybe will run longer since they are 1250mAH instead of 1200mAH. But 3 hours is fine with me...
wastedthelight
Voigtlander is beautiful, Picking one up with tax returns. Glad to finally see the GH2 grip for sale! Looked last month and the site didn't have it listed even though other users were posting reviews/pics of them. So with the battery grip, the camera DOES read the batter signal on the screen? Earlier reports said there was no battery life indication on screen. English product page: http://www.ownuser.com.tw/e_mig_pgh2.html Thanks!
