jindrich 4 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 Sensor size is something between S16 and FourThirds. That's the only drawback though. Footage looks great, plenty of resolution, stunning DR and very filmic look. The camera looks like a futuristic Hasselblad. Lovely. Price is a surprise for everybody. It also includes a realtime Waveform and Scope !!

cameraboy 23 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 because it is RAW... RAW image look disgusting before color correction ... and its soft ...even epic raw files look soft ... the guy who shoot this said that he did only fast/dirty correction... if u expect backed image straight from camera than stay away from this baby .... FilmMan 100 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 Sara, There could be more coming...I like what this camera sets out to do. What this camera shows, is the bigger companies are holding back. Give the market what people want at an afordable price. Competition, you gotta love it. ;)

FilmMan 100 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 Cameraboy, It is a nice organic look. As per the link you gave, these guys didn't have all the bells and whistles on this pre model. The video, with proper grading, should rank right up there. http://johnbrawley.wordpress.com/2012/04/17/blackmagic-cinema-camera-lets-take-it-from-the-top/
cameraboy 23 Report post Posted April 16, 2012 yes .. it can only be better... as i see sensor they use is 4:3 ratio ... maybe we can expect option for anamorphic lens ....
