Wide Angle Adapter in front of Variable diopter, i.e Rectilux?

Hi all!

Wondered if anyone have had any success with Wide Angle attachments in front of variable diopters? Would «zoom through» adapters be more suitable than standard ones? Something that does what the 30mm attachment for the Kowa Cine Prominar 40mm does!

Need a get out of jail free cards in the situations where our DIY jewellery just wont cut it.

best,

Sigurd

Tried a Canon 0.8x WA in front of FVD-16A. It gives about 15-20% more coverage but very difficult to use. You need a proper support for it since you can't simply clamp on your FVD-16A's front. You will also need to be aware that most FVD extend when focus closer so it will hit your rear WA glass.

That is promising! Do you have to fiddle with the focus on the taking lens and scope in order to reach infinity or just focus with FVD?
