Yes, you're also right. Even though, let's not forget RED helped to 5DII came out as well as nathlas accurately left expressed, the most closer serious contender by then was EUR 103,000 (Cinealta F900) I well recall if not else because I was in the middle of a cooperative project only to afford one unit.
I myself jumped out the RED wagon as far as investment concerns when 5DII just arrived. My purchase is from early 2009 and I even produced a feature shot on this camera model among several other projects shot on VDSLR as called then, this one ending where we aimed for once shot directly to the big screen:

Still here are three threads by my initiative on reduser before I had joined Andrew when he created our community. The last one on a film-out report. The 2nd one counts among others with the participation of Graeme Nattress himself (the man behind RED's compressed RAW):

I understand and even concur on the fairness of such point. Our viewpoint and interest as users : ) Someone on these boards joked with the case of the vanilla ice cream by Nestlé.
Go figure if you're on the other side though... ; -)

Pretty honest here: I think we should all struggle for our interests and perspectives but don't call me to subscribe character's assassination.
Let's talk about ethics and morals? Very well. Along this thread some serious reputation attacks against some individual were produced based on supposed claims which evidences no one here had access if any.
Is he here to defend himself?
Any law student would be able to confirm this can't be accepted under any standard at any rate.
I just can't speak about something I am not able to. Silence is also to consent anyway. For both sides.
I realize some people have their scope on topic. No one is blaming anyone for that.
It is even informative and healthy but when certain parameters are under our control, it can actually testify how accurate and fair our standpoint is.

Ed, you could never hear from me that he or someone else is superior to anyone. For a simple reason if not else, I don't take success as a rank to classify people. Some other attributes are much crucial to my sensibility and judgement : )
I don't know details on the Lance Armstrong story and I surely don't take as granted everything I read on Internet.
For some reason I'd rather take my filmmaking background over my, or anyone's legal realm any time. Courts are the most unfaithful jungles out there. It doesn't shock me at all someone to lie under oath if so. There are reasons beyond our own understanding more often than we should. Ah the public... Instead, shocks me to know there are innocent people under death penalty because the system or someone decided so. And nobody or too little care. I don't have how to believe in Santa.
As far as Andrew's episode, I've tried to bring any humble potential I can, using diplomacy between such two sides I have a friendly connection with, only in order to not result any harm to any one. Because they simply don't deserve. Both of them. They know what I think. I hope to not be disappointed.
We're discussing RED because we live in a free society and someone has opened a thread on topic : D On Hydrogen project, it's a hybrid, we can't say the cup is full but is different to be half empty. I've heard it's a product ahead of its time, more than a phone outdated each six months (E : -)

Take a look on this comparative sample coming from the 25.7-25.75mm (35mm equivalent terms) lens, even though not over the new 7T Pro version still to be provided by the usual gsmarena tool once not yet available there (iPhone 11 Pro Max 12MP sensor is introduced among them only as 3rd comparison term):

    What 64MP? ; )

I've found the budget Redmi's 48MP offer pretty impressive coupled to Camera 2 API indeed. I guess their 108MP won't be less than the customary flagships to be sincere. Despite the utmost processing power of the tiptop chips available as usual happens.
I don't find 64MP any of uninteresting, on the contrary especially when pixel peeped for checking resolution as due.
Sharpness is not the better at any rate, above all when motion (or composition) is our target as we know.

Other than that, you won't really notice nor need it, I'm afraid.

    Here's a curious comparison...

Lossless zoom not optical ends in an advantage for the 7T version with 12MP, especially going along some extra accessory such as this one when available for Androids, only on iPhones side so far:

Or this one, they announce as fitting Android smartphones like the OnePlus devices, even though I guess only dual lens based:

Recent reviews from the usual suspects hints aliasing to be more noticed on telephoto 2x lens of the 7T version mainly on photo samples anyway:
    https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_7t-review-1992p5.php
    https://www.dxomark.com/oneplus-7-pro-camera-review/
But I don't see aliasing here in any of the old or new 7 and 7T models as for instance from this old version's sample, same camera lenses set of the 7T PRO though:
Moreover, from their comparison tool as posted in the previous page of this thread looks like the 7T glass shows better results along the borders:
    https://www.gsmarena.com/vidcmp.php3?idType=5&idPhone1=9816&idPhone2=9689&idPhone3=7201
On the other hand, the PRO version's curved screen can potentially be more prone to mistouch than the 7T model especially while watching videos as noticed by this some other reviewer:
    https://www.fonearena.com/blog/283958/oneplus-7-pro-review-oneplus-most-ambitious-and-audacious-phone-yet.html
A few others have also speculated the choice of cropping from 13MP to 8MP (7 PRO / 7T PRO) by the manufacturer for the telephoto lens and its rounded 3x lossless zoom mode as a way to avoid the glass borders softness found there.

The argument of usefulness or information on reliability under stress circumstances doesn't buy my sensibility. Excuses for such filthy show. I can't find it in any way other than as rather disgusting...

WTH of society we live all in?
What type of man is this one?
Yeah, I mean about the audiences...
Where are the values we've seen people along the History to die for? Yes, not mere concepts of right and wrong.
Where's the responsibility of the creators of content to contribute to all this? The media? The legislators?
Where's people stand about all that Mediterranean drama?

I'd sincerely distrust anything or anyone in the hands of certain people living in the so-called civilized world today, after all. Well, it must be the ultimate joke to call it like that. It doesn't even look like sanely safe, go figure, hence my remark to call these individuals, retarders in a literal sense : ) We can't call it meritocracy either, but the Barbarians instead. Rome fell, let's not forget...
Seems the world is plain to them on both sides of the civilized fences. Terrifying.
Too much decadence to be quiet... I wonder where all this will lead?

No money in the world can justify everything. Hey, I love money too but I give it its own merit. Respect. Values. I believe that's where the whole thing fails.

Can seem to you but it is not an ad hominem attack, your point (my target) instead... For the person you are : ) Don't take it personally, that "YOU and" means the leftover, not you ; ) For some reason, I wrote "YOU" in capital letters and added the conjunction "and".
    Not "or".
The devil is in the details ; ) pay more attention to it and please read again the condescending tone of your statement which triggered such response. You can't ask what you're unable to give. It doesn't matter how popular you are or how many approvals your team if so attaches to you. Sorry mate, but these forums seem a comedy at times : ) For a simple reason, people are not OBVIOUSLY at same level of experience, background, etc. But they exactly have the same rights of posting as due. Which looks like democracy serves the discussion. Eventually. But not the facts or the conclusions to extract from there. Especially when it is flawed by opinions of nice fellas like you. No matter how inaccurate it is. This doesn't serve any community. Fortunately, it doesn't happen as often.
