You totally got conned at that price! I don't see anything in that cable that would put it above $5-8 tops.
-
Why not? How heavy are the lenses you're using?
-
^Yep, that was the point. For those of us that feel that we have a good enough film camera in our phones

Yea, seems like a kind of random limitation to me! They went 95% with the Lite version, basically no 3D support and no control surface support. I wonder if the UHD only means that you cannot import anything DCI 4k or if that is only an export restriction. Not that obvious from the specs list.

SONY SLOG2 LUTs - Examples: http://youtu.be/uSKm5-wj7sA

There are also seems to be some banding (Could be because of compression)

That chinesey-english is really starting to show?

Yep, that's the phone I have too. As far as I know, it's the only phone that does 4k24. Maybe the only phone that does 24fps in any resolution without a 3rd party app.
The Note 4 has a better camera overall but only does UHD, 1440p, and 1080p @ 30, 1080p @ 60 (which is actually really nice), and upscaled 720p @ 120 and 240 fps.
For what it's worth, the slow mo on these phones are generally really bad. And For some reason the OnePlus One doesn't record audio in 1080p 60.

If it's any help, I ran the RX100M4, 4K, 60P, don't have card yet for 100mb. An sdxc uhs-1 U3 card is needed for 100mb/s, I used U1.
It saved video clip automatically after 5 minutes, I waited about 15 seconds between recording each clip. Managed 3 clips, last one 4m2s, giving a total of 14m2s. On third clip the temperature warning came up about half way through, I let it continue until it powered off, with warning message about temp. The good thing is it saves last one before power off.
Ambient temp indoors was 21 degrees Centigrade. Not much movement in the test clips, fan and trees in wind, small bit of zooming.
What do you mean "4k, 60p"?

Does the Samsung NX1 do the same "focus by wire"? I remember reading that the focus ring does not directly change the focus like it would on many other cameras but rather activates a motor-controlled focusing.

Well, my phone does it... I don't see a reason not to on a $1200 camera when some of its closest competition does.
-
Are the video features on this exactly the same as those on the G7?
-
Pretty much what I just said.
And the a7 really got a bad rep when it came to moire. It was so easy to avoid. I've had much more trouble with moire in the nx1, bmpcc and a6000 than the A7.
And none so far with the a7ii. Only had for three days though.
Do you have any samples with moiré on the nx1? I'm curious because I haven't seen it in any videos so far that I've seen. Its rolling shutter in 4k is pretty irksome from what I've watched though.

It looks like a video game trailer to me in terms of visual aesthetic.
Like assassin's creed trailers.

Richard's photos are pretty nice. In general, the lowlight performance for stills looks pretty good.
I still hope Panny improves the final video specs. Likelihood is low, yes. But I, and I'm sure many people would jump on this camera if they gave it higher bitrates and 1080p slow mo.
It seems like most people would buy the Sony RX10ii or Samsung NX1 instead considering the price/performance ratio.
Only benefits I see with this right now over the other 2 are Tilting EVF, Fully articulating screen.
-
I would love to buy this thing, but I would like to see 1080p120 so that it would really be justified in paying more for this than for a Hero4 Black.
Also the camera uses contrast detect af. Does that mean it will be prone to focus hunting?
-
That looks really good. Bridging the gap between gopros and m4/3 video cameras.
Did anyone see the sensor resolution listed? The creator saws you can take stills in RAW, but I couldn't find the resolution of the sensor. My guess is that, since it's a Panasonic-sourced sensor according to the creator it's 16mp.
-
That's a $9000 camera. What do you mean "for the price"?
Isn't an URSA cheaper for comparable quality?
-
How would this work in resolve?
-
I mean, for the price I think it's fair to compare ititwith the nx1
-
^Only benefit then: screen, viewfinder, and mic jack.
Looking for a 120FPS camera with a decent sensor

The only other camera I know of to do 1080@120fps cheap(ish) is the NX1 - $1300 new (not including lens).
