  1. Disclaimer: I have used neither. LX100 for sure for your needs. I have read that it is better in low light. I see the FZ1000 as a fun camera for outdoors. Not wide angle. This would of been my preference but I have totally different needs.
  2. Great review, kind of summed up all the bits and bobs I have been reading elsewhere for months. I had my heart set on this fun camera but it is not available in Thailand, so went another (temporary) direction. I fear in 6 months there will be a new kid on the block or saving up for the NX1 will be the better choice.
  3. I should of said that this applies to perfect lighting conditions. The phone is awful when it starts to get dark. But I and a friend were amazed at the terribly fake colours coming out of the rx100 (in portrait mode with settings dialled down) and enormous difference in sharpness when zoomed in.
  4. Sounds awful. 15 fps 4k is not very useful. For a quarter of the price you can get a stunning ultra thin phone that shoots 30 fps video very well. I am talking about the OnePlus One. Or for a third of the price of the Panasonic you can get the Oppo Find 7a which shoots longer 4k videos. My RX100 ii was put up for sale immediately when I realised how much better the Oppo is. The difference in color and detail is unbelievable, the Sony is miles behind. Sony and the rest are holding back the technology, so people into certain videography like me have jumped ship. Phones are the way to go at the moment for ultra cheap ultra HD video, which is actually pretty good. There is probably no need for most people to buy this massive brick made by Panasonic.
