  1. take a look at the pictures please. This lens support is made for a PL-mount adaptor – so, yes it is solid. But, if you plan to use this special adapter (vocas PL-mount support) you have to cut 2mm from the VanDiemen ISCO's rear element !!!!!! The Vocas inner diameter is 2mm smaller than the VD ISCO … Again, please take a look at the pictures. bye.
  2. The only existing … http://www.vocas.com/accessories/separate-15mm-support-for-pl-adapters
  3. I don't need to fix the ISCO with the lens. The beauty of my Leica Summicron's (35, 50, 90) is that they have a moveable sunshade. I can move the sunshade over the ISCO`s thread.
  4. You get a more robust lens but you loose a bit of flexibility – because of it`s design (as mentioned before). It becomes a real "fat lady" after the mod. And with the close focus mod done you'll need a FF with a faster gear ratio (2:1 like the Arri Cine FF). And this FF isn't a lightweight at all!! When I got my ISCO back from VD, I decided to mod the mod. A friend of mine – "SFX Lange" based in Hamburg – did the following: - we made it noticeable lighter (the mount is the heavy part of it) - we've added a solid lens support (Vocas) - we attached a torque motor on the lens support (redrock micro remote) The ISCO is held by the lens support and is just "pushed" in front of the lens (not screwed!) Now I can change the taking lens within seconds, without a recalibration of the ISCO is necessary. Have fun!
  5. I forgot to mention that my ISCO was modded for close focus with hard stops. So you will need a seamless focus gear on the ISCO (like my modded Chrosziel) and a more broadly gear on the follow focus. So I sticked two of them on the Zacuto FF. Take a look at the picture than you understand what I mean …
  6. I have one focus gear for sale. It is a Chrosziel 206-753 which is customized to fit the front barrel of my Isco 36 – seamless 360° I sell it for 100 EUR (new 150 EUR) You can ad a second gear on your follow focus – as I've done it with my zacuto follow focus. Simply stick them together. www.jaquet.de post (at) jaquet.de
