Thank you, I forgot to tell you the lens I am using DOH! :) It is a Pentax 50mm 1.4 K mount manual lens. I would be interested to see your 28mm with the reducer. I hope you get your BMPCC soon.

first pic with focal reducer, second without I am not sure what is going on with the left hand background in the second pic. This is the lens with a plain pentax k to micro 4/3 adapter.

You are welcome. I feel like the performance is very good. However, I will say the crop is still fairly drastic on a 50mm lens, even with the adapter. The adapter improves this some as you saw in the still grab from Resolve above. I am trying to decide what would be a good test to show you beyond a still file.

newegg has stock with a free sd card, but no returns, no refunds. If you have warranty issues you will have the standard 1 year with BMD.

This screen grab should give you an idea of the crop factor. Standard Pentax K to Micro 4/3 on the left, Focal Reducer on the right. See attached. Ignore the color differences between the two.

The adapter came in yesterday and I am impressed so far. The device was well protected and it fits my BMPCC really well. Something about the focus peaking has struck me as odd. It seems focus peaking is working better with the adapter than without it. I'll try to do some test videos that I can share soon.

Thanks guys Technically it would be time lapse frames to create stop motion. There is no way to grab or take stills that I am aware of on a bmpcc. I didn't want to buy another camera or more gear for this and I wanted RAW frames. Sounds like trying to use time lapse for this might be painful though.

I want to see if I can use the time lapse function of my bmpcc to create some stop motion clips. I have googled lighting and I haven't found the information I was looking for. What I am looking for is some inexpensive, flicker free lights. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Brian

I am fairly sure the GX7 does not stablize video with IBIS. Stills only based on the reviews I have read.

Great job Bryan Harvey! Light of the Yucatan is beautiful. That feeling of "being there" was present and I loved it. It was National Geographic quality work for sure. I haven't seen anything in awhile that made me want to take a trip like watching that did. I will now take the money I was going to spend on a GH4 and take a trip to Mexico instead! ;)
