    It's 800. I don't think they'll change that.

    That's great news !! Thanks.
It would be very tough here in HK to shoot at 3200 during the day even with a VND on top of more ND's
As someone who is into photography and interested in video, Sony has just made my ultimate camera. Bye Bye Nikon & NX1. Going to dive into this system. It will be kind of weird leaving Nikon after all these years, but they need to move with the times and get with the program. I'd rather spend my money with an innovative manufacturer who doesn't hold back. I do like the NX1, but for stills I find it very average coming from FF Nikon.
The Loxias look amazing as well.

I'm no video expert, but I was amazed just how natural the colours out of the NX1 using the following settings that I think I read Andrew was using somewhere along the line ... Gamma DR, Contrast -5, Master Black Level +10 & luminance at 16-235. At 4k everything seems a bit too sharp though and now prefer it left at zero. But for colours looking natural, and usability SOOC, this camera is pretty amazing I think. https://vimeo.com/126548066

    Thank you, Andrew !!

Great review and wonderful film clip. Enjoyed watching it ... especially as it was mostly filmed on an E-M1.

I'm loving using this camera and video is a whole new world for me. I tried once before briefly with a GH3, but this IBIS on this thing makes shooting video FUN  :) I wonder what the fun factor was for you making this clip compared to making others?

On a different note, is there a thread somewhere on EOSHD that shares E-M1 clips, settings and tips? I can't find anything and info seems to be fragmented. Would be nice to have it in one place.

Another couple of clips I put together over the weekend. All hand held ... of course  :)

I enjoy shooting stills on the E-M1 but I'm totally addicted to shooting video with it. Ergonomically, when set up to your liking, it's so easy to use and the controls, settings and dials just get out of your way.

In the second clip, I resisted throwing all sorts of colour effects over the top and left it as is out of the cam on vivid setting with contrast at -2 as Andrew suggested in a post ... all else at default. No PP at all.

Both shot with the Pana 25/1.4. In the scene at the 24sec mark of the 1st clip I used the inbuilt 2x convertor. There is a drop in resolution but the feature is handy.

I hope it is OK posting videos here but I did not see another thread that has E-M1 videos.
