  1. If you can't charge from an external source while simultaneously recording to an external drive then it kind of defeats the purpose of having the feature to be able to long-record via usb-c.
  2. They are saying about an hour of battery life which translates to 45-50min of real world use. Not great. Will have to walk around with a power bank or utility belt full of LP-E6s.
  3. Two questions, battery life and auto focus. Also, wonder about screen brightness and resolution.
  4. So no IBIS? That's a killer. Panasonic, you giveth and then you taketh away. Why?
  5. Good observations, Andrew. However, Youtube is not meant to edify people, it's actually meant to do the opposite. Cultural Marxism: The gradual process of destroying all traditions, languages, religions, individuality, government, family, law and order in order to re-assemble society in the future as a communist utopia. This utopia will have no notion of gender, traditions, morality, god or even family or the state. As historian Arnold Toynbee once pointed out, "Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder". We are in the process of dying.
  6. You're more forgiving than I am. It would take a better codec and the assurance of S35 to get me on board. I could forego the 60p in exchange for an APSC DPAF 4k camera...
  7. That's a nice thought. But if it's truly coming this spring, I see Canon delivering an uncropped (APSC) MJPEG version with DPAF which would be an improvement over the 5DIV but still a camera aimed primarily at sports/wildlife photographers. I can't see them giving us half a C200 at 1/4 of the cost.
  8. The image is fine but what I'm asking is, if the 7Diii shoots the same 4k internally as the C200, why would someone pay the $5000-$5500 premium just for the compressed raw and better battery life of the C200? That would be canonbilization...
  9. So why would anyone buy a C200 then? Crappy raw and better battery life for only $5,000 more? That's not how Canon rolls....
  10. I suppose that's probably what it was, give a copy to Neistat for the AF testing and one to Neumann for lowlight.
  11. There already is a price drop on the GH5. You can get one new on eBay for $1499.00 USD. The deal has been on ever since the week of Black Friday and is still available.
  12. Why would Panasonic lend the camera out to Neistat? Seems like a poor candidate to test/QC the range of features on this type of camera.
  13. Need low-light and better AF to be more video-centric and merit the upgrade (especially if the price is higher). An integrated battery grip would be my personal request (a la the 1dx).
  14. Looks like a terrific piece of kit. Resolution rivals the lcd screen on my 2001 point and shoot.
  15. That's fine if Canon wants this to be stills camera. I'm okay with that. But why include video at all if you're going to embarrass yourself with it?
  16. 4k 60p and better battery life are a must. Better ergonomics and 10-bit codec would be nice. Built-in ND filter would be a dream.
  17. Without 4k 60p, DPAF and a robust codec, the A9 doesn't touch the 1Dxii when it comes to video capabilities, I'm sorry to say. The A7siii, however....remains to be seen.
  18. http://metabones.com/products/details/MB_SPEF-E-BT3 "Fast contrast-detect AF on all E-mount cameras.Phase-detect autofocus support on A7RII, A7II, A6300 and A6500."
  19. Apparently there is a new metabones adapter coming that will allow AFC to work with Sony's PDAF with Canon lenses.
  20. In the same piece you quoted: "This is the first time that we are aware of, that a building taller than about 15 stories has collapsed primarily due to fires," Sunder told reporters at the press conference. "What we found was that uncontrolled building fires--similar to fires experienced in other tall buildings--caused an extraordinary event, the collapse of WTC7." The unprecedented nature of the event means that understanding the precise mechanism of the collapse is important not just to answer conspiracy theorists' questions, but to improve safety standards in the engineering of large buildings. Unprecedented. How convenient.... Yes, let's burn the books while we're at it...
  21. "WTC 7 collapsed because of fires fueled by office furnishings." Bogus. This would have been an unprecedented occurrence. Fire does not melt steel beams. Modern buildings are constructed to withstand couch fires.
  22. The moon has nothing to do with geopolitics and controlled demolitions of buildings. The conspiracy theory of sheep herders bringing down a building without touching it (WTC #7) only makes sense to those that are ignorant to the scientific method.
