  1. Yeah it does. Kholi is creating a LUT for V Log. Here is the pre release version on this clip:
  2. It does. 2K DCI, and 2K 16:9 full sensor. Yeah I forgot to post that here, but the raw camera files: GH5 (converted to ProRes): https://www.dropbox.com/s/e3bgfvsxzflhe7c/GH5_10bit.mov?dl=0 UM46K: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ojbccq0eliskkm/A002_02252030_C023.mov?dl=0
  3. GH5 I had sharpening at -5. The UM46K has no internal sharpening but I applied a little bit to match the GH5. Well to be honest, the GH5 was closer to her actual look in real life, but the background was wacky compared to in real life. The Ursa handled all around color better but it does give her that slightly un-natural look (which I don't mind at all unless it's a beauty commercial).
  4. Yeah man, let me know when you're in town!
  5. Thanks. I loved the SLR primes. I used the 35 and 50. I tried to keep them at T4-T5.6 b/c they get a little soft and muddy under T4. I didn't realize that they updated anamorphic to 10 bit. I believe I shot it on 8 bit 150m. I did use V Log.
  6. Here are some 1080 JPEGS from a music video that I shot with the GH5 + SLR Magic anamorphic primes.
  7. Thanks man! Yeah let's hang next time you're in town. Re: lenses. My go to clean look lenses are Xeen 24 and 50mm. Used them on the Vesperteen video. Other than that I use the Sigma 18-35, and Tokina 28-70 f2.6. Grading I just use Premiere Lumetri. I started using Kholi's Comet Color LUT for the 4.6K. I always add some blue to the highlights, and desaturate green. I haven't yet, but don't pixel peep to the extreme. It might be in some footage and I didn't notice. Well my test wasn't to prove that the UM46K is the superior camera. I think everyone knows it has a better image. I was just testing how myself and alot of people shoot with ProRes instead of Raw. I never use Raw. In fact I rarely shoot 4K on the Ursa. Mostly 2K ProRes 4444.
  8. The highlights are definitely a huge win for the UM46K. @Cinegain you're right about the yellow/orange. I made it a point to not key out sections for adjustments. If I were to key I would fix those 2 warm lights in the back to be less green/yellow. Her face stays pretty neutral which is good. Overall I really like the GH5 though. I imagine it will even get better with the bitrate increase at 10 bit. I should be able to upload the raw footage later if you guys want to test it out for yourself.
  9. I was planning on doing a more in depth test, but I only had a few minutes to spare during a shoot to compare the two cameras with our actress. GH5 Settings: UHD, V Log L 10 bit, ISO 800, 24p, Sigma 18-35, shot at 28mm f4 using Nikon Speedbooster. Ursa Mini 4.6K Settings: UHD, ProRes 422, ISO 800, 24p, Sigma 18-35, shot at 28mm f4. Grade: I started with Comet Color A Side for the UM46K. Added a bit of contrast and saturation. From that point I tried matching the GH5's color/exposure to match. Lighting was mixed conditions. Her face was lit with a Quasar Science 5600K LED tube + natural daylight coming in the window. Background lights were running at around 2600K. Walls are a greenish yellow color naturally. password: test
  10. Why does it say "Sigma Art Logo" on the lens?
  11. I am this weekend in fact. Shooting a music video with both. It's mostly anamorphic, but I'm going to shoot a couple of takes with our actress using the Sigma 18-35 on both the GH5 and UM46K.
  12. For sure. I like the idea of a Panasonic Cine cam, but I wouldn't buy it over a GH5 for my needs. I think the Panny Cine Cam plus GH5 would be a good combo.
  13. The only bowens mount accessory that I own for the 120 is a 36" light dome. I got it before Aputure put out their own version (which looks similar).
  14. Yeah! Unbelievable. It's supposed be the equivalent of an Arri M8 HMI, or Joker 800w. HMI. Those easily replicate daylight on interiors. You can plug up to 6 on one circuit.
  15. On the camera front yeah. Two things I'm super excited about are the Teradek iOS wireless feed, and the Aputure 300d.
  16. Interesting. So maybe it is a SmallHD issue? I do use the 2x tap on the 502 which helps alot for focus, after framing.
  17. Thanks for that. So it's a Panasonic issue and not SmallHD. Bummer.
  18. Dude. Killer! I have the 2x 35 and 50 right now for a shoot this weekend. What did you monitor with? I have the SmallHD 502 and when i do 2x desqueeze it adds extra black mattes on the left and right making the image super small. Any idea why?
  19. I'm shooting with the GH5 + 50mm 2x anamorphic this weekend. If I want to use IBIS what should I set the focal length input? keep it at 50, or go to 25?
  20. Whoa. Thanks for the tip!
  21. I have not. Is that a plugin?
  22. The SmallHD 702 Bright is 1000 nits and it's plenty bright enough for outdoors. 800 is pretty good for that price.
  23. I've been pushing for that now for years. Would be awesome. They've actually come a long way in incorporating features from AE. Other than motion tracking, the only feature that keeps me going into AE is motion blur.
  24. I've actually been using the Ursa Mini 4.6K for about a year now. I love it. I did trade my GH4 for GH5 as a B Cam.
