  1. You'll be able to shoot beautiful models with sexy skin tones!
  2. The Alexa is going head to head against the Raven, the BMC, etc. Been in the works and kept secret for quite some time. Management felt it is time to offer the Alexa to the masses. Dry run of 500 cameras to see how the market responds. Price $5500! 2.5K basic model with aluminum shell. No Raw. Alexa proprietary 5 to 1 compression. Alexa Colors. Check the link out for the picture! https://www.flickr.com/photos/50066720@N03/6257015898
  3. "Theri" or "The Spark" looks like a lot of fun to watch. I like the colors. Interesting article, http://www.firstpost.com/bollywood/tamil-nadu-politics-and-the-big-screen-amid-polls-will-vijay-make-a-comeback-with-theri-2692040.html Cheers.
  4. Talk of Canon 1dc replacement to be 8k in 2017. http://www.canonwatch.com/canon-eos-1d-c-replacement-will-feature-8k/
  5. Looks Good. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New! Cheers.
  6. I remember buying my first 1080p tv and having to play with settings to get rid of the "Soap Opera" look. Here's an article from PC Mag. Cheers. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379206,00.asp
  7. Andrew, good article. Colour is a critical component. I like the basic grade at 55 seconds of your video. The 1DC, in my opinion, is superior. I was one of the early adopters of the 1DC, bit the bullet and took the price up the butt, however, I can't put a price on what I have learned. Cheers.
  8. Gees, almost forgot to reply after seeing Rogue Nation last week. I thought the movie was good. Same recipe. Enjoyed the Opera scene and the motorcycle chase scene. Perhaps Cruise likes to be shot on film due to the film grain hiding any facial blemishes and aging? Just kidding. Being shot on film does instill a certain feel to the whole movie. Cruise did earn his money hanging on the side of a plane. Would I hang on the side of a plane for his paycheck? Definitely... if the plane was on the ground. I'd do the CGI green screen rather than be strapped in and hanging on for my dear life. My luck a seagull would either excrete on me or ram into me. If a bird did ram into Cruise, his goose would have been cooked. KFC tonight? Cheers. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/How-Tom-Cruise-Did-Insane-Plane-Stunt-Mission-Impossible-Rogue-Nation-70462.html
  9. Interesting how the quest to replicate film through digital has driven costs and time to new heights.
  10. Odie, good find. Thanks. Ebrahim, good post. Cheers.
  11. I'm a geek inside and out. I want to see this movie and analyze the footage (with my defective eyes) with respect to the Arri Alexa 65. Probably take in this move within the week. If anyone goes to the movie, please respond on your thoughts on the image, ............and the movie. Cheers. According to Imdb: Arri Alexa 65, Hasselblad Prime 65 Lenses Arri Alexa XT (visual effects plates) Arri Alexa XT M (aerial shots) Arriflex 235, Panavision B-, C-, E- and G-Series Lenses Arriflex 435, Panavision Primo, B-, C-, E-, G-Series, ATZ and AWZ2 Lenses Panavision Panaflex Lightweight, Panavision B-, C-, E- and G-Series Lenses Panavision Panaflex Millennium XL2, Panavision Primo, B-, C-, E-, G-Series, ATZ and AWZ2 Lenses
  12. I purchased the 1DC when it first came out. Been sitting on the fence, and reading various opinions about it. Entertaining to say the least. I maintained from the beginning that the image ranks high with the more expensive cinema cameras. The 1DC can match film if properly shot and graded in my opinion. Is it a perfect camera? ...No, but does a truly perfect camera exist? One can debate the merits and the pitfalls but to what end? The camera isn't for everyone. It does take a while to understand the 1DC. I do agree with Sir Andrew Reid current opinion as to the strengths/views about the 1DC. Just my 2 cents. Cheers.
  13. Hey Sheild3, I own the 1DC - paid the premium a few years ago - however, it has been worth it due to the gained experience (at least that is what I'm telling myself). The files are big 4GB for 1 minute. The camera is a lot better than most realize. Congrats on your purchase. Cheers
  14. Thanks for posting Aaron. Took in the film today. I enjoyed it. Action filled. The cinematography is amazing. Not sure if this link has been posted too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTazMnFF-Rs Cheers.
  15. Good one. Or maybe the skin tones need more blue with a touch of red. Cheers.
  16. According to this website. http://www.canonwatch.com/there-is-no-canon-eos-c700x-on-the-horizon-its-a-fake/http://www.canonwatch.com/there-is-no-canon-eos-c700x-on-the-horizon-its-a-fake/
  17. Cantsin, good eye for the camera. The movie looks interesting. Cheers.
  18. Check the trailer out. After watching the trailer, what camera do you think was used? Don't cheat. Cheers.

  20. Shane Hurlbut seems to think highly of the Red now. More to come in the near future. Out of most of our price range. Cheers. https://www.hurlbutvisuals.com/blog/2015/03/red-dragon-test-part-1-basic/
