What sort of camera should a storm chaser choose?

A suggestion from left field, is the Digital Bolex camera.

 

The Digital Bolex has a CCD and global shutter readout.

 

Yeah...

That is indeed good enough a reason for me to consider resetting any new year's resolutions for a new one, and just one; to start saving dough for the D16. Now I almost hope that it won't become available in Europe too soon.  :P

Bolex looks really neat and offers a more complete package than BMCC. I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying gobal shutter shooting some day.

But man, I wish TBs of data cost what GBs of data do!  If they did I'd be all over this. We'll get there, but man, cost/workflow in all raw is still tough for me to justify.
