LOMO anamorphic lenses - adaptors + clamps

Hi guys,

After some advice. Just bought my first LOMO anamorphic lens. A 50mm f/2.5 OCT-18 square front. I'm hoping to separate the anamorphic part from the prime. I have a 5D so the plan is to attach the anamorphic part to my cannon lenses (e.g. 50mm f1.8) and/or Zenit lenses (50mm, 85mm, 135mm). I know Andrew has done this with cannon FD lenses but I'm not sure what he used to connect the two. Is there a specific lens clamp/ adaptor anyone can recommend?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob, we love using the Lomos. We feel that we've found a pretty easy solution to clamping and mounting them. See the image here of a Lomo Square front attachment with an old Nikon lens on the 5D Mark II:

It basically works with our Vid-Atlantic XL Clamp (medium base version) and a Bogen telephoto lens support like this:

Hope this helps.
