  2. Shot with Canon 5D Mark III entirely in raw. 1920x1080 25fps I used two sandisks extreme pro 160mb/s 128gb. I used canon 16-35 f2.8 L II and canon 70-200 f2.8 L II IS lenses. Smooth shots made with Glidecam HD4000. Graded with davinci resolve, edited with Premiere Pro CC. I didnt have any problem at all cheers
  3. Hi, I shot this video in Dolomites, Italy, in Marmolada mountain area during 8 days vacations. Filmed on a Canon 5D Mark III entirely in Magic Lantern raw format (mlv) 1920x1080. I used Komputerbay 64GB 1000x and Sandisk extreme pro 32GB memory cards. Nexto DI ND2730 500GB photo storage device was super helpful with archiving those lots amount of data in the field. Most of the shots were made with canon 16-35mm f2.8 L II but canon 100mm f2.8 L Macro was also used. Smooth shots were made with Glidecam HD2000. Regarding Magic Lantern - i had absolutely no problem with it in the field. It worked brilliantly, had some few minor crashes but nothing to worry about. Huge amount of data is no problem when you have a device like nextodi or similar with you. Copying 64GB card takes about 8-10 minutes so if you have two cards (i had 64 and 32GB) you can shoot almost continuosly. Please tell me what you think.
  4. I know this line of thought is going to sound dumb and woefully redundant (and maybe provocative) but after all I've read (and invested), I'm still struggling to see the overall advantages to shooting a 5D3 raw over a C100 in a production environment (specifically: regional commercial retail and fashion). What am I missing? Is it the full frame sensor? A cost savings of a couple grand? The way I see it, $6-$8K for a camera is NOTHING for a business or even an independent contractor. Then again, I don't want to waste money if the hacked 5D3 can do the heavy lifting in a production environment. We can all point to "tests" and all kinds of numbers. But seriously guys, look at what the C100 is putting out in skilled hands: What's the real argument for a hacked 5D3 over THAT??? This is the kind of work we aspire to do in 2014. The sample here is all on a C100, right to the card. Why would anyone opt for a 5D3 Raw for that kind of work? For the 60p in 720? Being able to suddenly be a still photographer? I don't know. So here I am asking y'all. Any input on this from working videographers would be great. Thanks.
