Great cause Norway has 25% import tax, makes me cry tears everytime.

You should see how the regulation goes, I think there might be some differences if you buy from EU or outside EU because Norway is in the EEA.

Last time I tried it, it wasnt a very good solution, with a magenta tint all over the image, but that may have been changed/updated. Its still an expensive app for newcomers (149$ if im not mistaken).

It is very peculiar how they can get it so completely wrong. Maybe it's a firmware thing or something.

I ust followed a friends advice, it seems to preserve better the highlights, but might be a placebo effect.

To my experience it isn't a placebo effect but very real. It preserves the highlights and lifts the shadows. It's very visible if you test is with the same shot and same settings.

Do you really use smart rang+ ON? I have not done any testing with this because I normally just ignore this kind of "auto" adjust feature.

Has it been confirmed that smartrange+ is an auto setting or a static setting? when letting the camera choose exposure I noticed it want's to increase shutter speed or aperture, apparently to make protect highlights.

Did you use the lut in combination with the nx1 settings I posted? Can you also specify what program you used and if you did any grading prior to use? The lut should only apply a moderate contrast/sat and color change. The image of the tree in my last post shows the overall change.

I tried it with very similar setting of footage I had. The first LUT didn't increase brightness. Maybe it's an exposure thing, do you expose to 0?

How did you make the LUT from the .srw?

I know it's possible to make a .dcp but I don't know how to convert the .dcp to a .cube.

I don't know if you noticed, but it seems there's "official" support of K-mount and one other "unknown"

[root@drime5 ~]# st cap capdtm getusr LENSMOUNT
    UserData is LENSMOUNT_NX_MOUNT (0x590000)
    UserData is LENSMOUNT_K_MOUNT (0x590001)
    UserData is LENSMOUNT_UNKNOWN (0x590002)

Any way to tell from files what that UNKNOWN mount is/does?

Focus control is already doable, but what exactly did you have in mind?

I was thinking that if it would be possible to use an remote follow focus for the Samsung lenses. Like making one from a mouse scroller etc. But the system probably doesn't have a mouse driver and maybe it doesn't recognize usb devices.

  7. Thanks arourke!

I found the Resolve Automatching a bit weird. Using a generated colorchecker (from Babelcolor) the values don't match perfectly. Also the Oneshot chart is supposed to match the values on vectorscope and they do when using a file but using autocorrect throws them out.

  8. I took some screenshots from Resolve and the PNG file using Video-setting in Clip Attributes makes bigger PNG-files. My assumption is then that it has more detail in it when using Full-setting in Clip Attributes.

I filmed in 0-255 and used RockyMointains converter to convert to ProRes, apparently RockyMountains converter then converts it to 64-940?
