I like the M43 mount gear immensely, and was hoping for a cheat 2 x increase to focal length just for the occasional surfing shot from beach location.I'll start a project into some manual focus gear shortly, thanks for the heads up........ Stills

Thanks for the info, got some older manual len's left over from the 90's but was hoping to get some newer lens designs onto a M43 body for a focal increase. And maybe some of the late model coatings and mojo of some of the better e mount lens.

Got m43 body in my hands now and a sony lens , and your on the mark, guess I'll be looking for a slr type lens to fit the flange.Thats a bummer because already into the E mount system

Yep I see what you linked,I think because of the near similar flange distance I'll be leaning towards a mirror camera's flange distance ,i.e. Nik-Can-leica slr mount's....

Hello all, wanting to adapt a SONY E MOUNT LENS TO MICRO FOUR THIRDS BODY, I see the flange distances for both are very close and would appreciate if any smart or dumb adaptors exist? Wanting to get the 2 x focal effect from a long full frame lens to the M4/3 crop for a lockdown tripod sequence. Thanks..............
  8. With the two filters stacked it had purple cast to frame edges then purple in the middle Yes I Thought its safe to use as well, but took a small run of video and on replay ,looked very sick. Didnt bother with stills to see if it duplicated..
  9. Just want to ask the community if any of you with SONY E Mount lens have had any progress with a combination of either a fixed ND strength and polariser combined into one unit ,or variable ND and polariser combination into one unit? (Does this type of combination even exist?). Just ran into a whole world of pain with B&W variable ND then trying to screw on polariser for effect on tropical waters, cross polarisation effect ruined all hope of keeping shutter and aperture low for midday exposure . Been through a search and got some ideas from this forum, but would like to throw it out there for any other opinions? Body being used is the A7R MK2 in full frame mode . Money to purchase is of no concern. I have only e mount lens. Thanks everyone in advance!!!!
  10. Realised my own mistake in setting the PP1, 2 etc all good.
  11. Hello folks I have the Procolor 3 downloaded, but the actual instructions to get it to the SDcard I'm missing .Drag and drop onto your SD card (presuming magic lantern style workaround?)does the file need unzipping etc..... Thanks in advance.
  12. Sorry I posted in the wrong topic forum, please ignore......
  13. I really thank you for your generous effort to show me and a lot of others the very miniscule differences, as far as moving pictures goes it looks like no bad penalty to pay. Yep 5 days of test cricket in the heat you probably want to try a few different things....... Ive got a set of Manfrotto 058 TRIAUT legs to put it on so should be fairly stable. Once again thank you, thank you..........................
  14. Great camera had one for a while, just factor into your workings the cost of cfast 2 media.Still very expensive....
  15. Do you loose any clarity of your footage if you use 35mm lens to MFT for the doubling of the telephoto effect as I would like to get to 600mm to 800mm (35mm equivalent) for some surfing footage.(using 100 / 400 35mm zoom using dumb adapter). Trying to come to a rational understanding if "sweet spot will still deliver a well defined footage in MFT body with the usual crop for a GH4 in 4K delivery. Many reports of wide and normal conversions with dumb adapters, not that much when you start going very long. Sorry to double up but did accidentally post in anamorphic topic.....sssssorry
  16. SORRY FOLKS JUST REALISED POSTED IN WRONG TOPIC FORUM.... Just wanting a setup to be able to stretch out to about 600mm - 800mm in 35 mm terms for some surfing shots. I will be using a MFT body. I have a very basic Olympus EPL1 with an adapted Nikkor 80mm - 200mm f 2.8 getting me to 400mm adapted equivalent (not long enough). I'll be more than happy with a GH4 when I UPGRADE ,locked down to heavy tripod, manual focus and away I go. The question in my head at the moment is with all the cropping going on, if you choose the 4K delivery with its extra crops is( I want this effect) "will I loose a lot of clarity from such a heavily cropped central part of a 35mm prime lens being compensated to deliver a pretty big telephoto effect". Thanks everyone......
  17. A lot of the forums one reads about the tse lens on a Canon rig is the lack of an adjustable screen in full frame bodies. Do you have a sweet spot in aperture or just wide open and see what comes out....
  18. The 17 TSE looks well resolved and clean, any issues with adapting the tse to the Sony mount?? I'm hoping to go this way for a future set up..any regrets.. Thanks........
  19. Hello all is it necessary to use the VAF filter for the best results from the pocket, and are there choices for the filter or the one and only. Seems quite expensive? I'd like to use it for travel generally.
  20. Its for sale so I can't get back to it at the moment.Fungus about 2mm diameter on extreme edge of rear element and minor dust inside, but focusing collar very stiff!!!! Thanks Justin..
  21. Has stiff focus and some very, very minor blemishes on glass. Also extreme small fungus on side of rear element, other than storage problems looks good, barrel and thread also good. From a deceased estate. (I'm thinking $US110 maximum)
  22. Any luck on getting your LUTS into a xc 10? Thanks....
  23. Hello, bought one extremely good price with full warranty and not grey import so for a daylight camera I'm more than happy.Really will have to put it back out to the forum community if the LUTS Andrews load into the xc10. Thanks for your reply
  24. Hello did the software load up OK with the XC 10 utility? Any 4k to share yet? Thanks......
