Can anyone here confirm if the Metabones .64 Xl for Nikon works on the G85?

you will want to test the cinemorph filter with that lens, it will likely only work in maybe the 40mm to 80mm range, depending on how close the front element is to the filer threads, I have found it doesn't work with any of my native Panasonic lenses, mostly just my 50mm Nikon.

So I recently purchased a used SLR Magic Anamorphot adapter from Adorama via Ebay. it didn't come with the ring with the set screws. I found two different pics of the same item: mine looks like the one on the top:

so I found a good deal on a gently used 1.33 anamorphot setup. I figure I got into it cheap enough I should be able to flip it if I don't dig it. It should be here Wednesday, I will spend next weekend getting aquainted and testing it out. I will post some footage once I get it sorted out. Thanks everyone for all of your help.

funkyou86 - Thank you for the great reply. The whole 2x vs 1.33 is a struggle for me. Good to know at least one of my lenses will work. if any of you see anything for sale that you think will work, either pm or add it here. I am going to poke around ebay.

Folks thank so much for your sharing. So yesterday day my minty used GH4 showed in the mail. So now, I need to pull the trigger on an anamorphic adapter. This is the most agonizing decision I have ever had to make buying camera gear. I had my heart set on the SLR Magic 2x with Range finder, but the $1400 price tag has got me on pause. I just want to make sure I make the right decision. My current taking lens choices are: Tokina 11-20 2.8 Panasonic 20mm 1.7 Sigma 18-35 1.8 Nikon 24mm 1.8D Nikon 50mm 118D Sigma 24-70 2.8 Tokina 100mm Macro Nikon 70-200 VR 2.8 From what I have read only 3,4, and 5 will be compatible with the 2x SLR Magic. My biggest concern is getting the adapter, then having to go out and spend even more on lenses to get an assortment of wide, medium and close up shots. Shane

I have been messing with 4K photo mode on my G7 in prep for getting a Anamorphic lens soon, and it of course doesn't record audio, But can I get audio with the GH4 in anamorphic mode?

I use the original .74 I think Metabones that I got for a steal over at Fred Miranda. I use this on my G7 with no issues on all my Nikon lenses. The only issue I have had is with my 1.7 extender from Nikon, it got stuck on the Metabones, I thought I might break both to get them apart, but I was finally able to get them loose. I am looking to get a second G7 and another Metabones, probably the XL, or try one of the cheaper ones.

Andy, what cages are those? I have been looking for a cage for my G7. can you access the battery and SD card slot.

Dang,. This is good news. I was all set to get a GH4 to go with my G7, but I think I may with this news invest in another G7 and an Atomos Ninja Assassin. I was planning on buying a 7" monitor anyway.

The Rectalux footage looks much better to me,. The fm seemed to have barrel distortion on the sides. Beautiful shots from the Rectalux. Can you tell me more about the kowa 8z?
