  1. Use Rocky Mountain Movie Converter! Set resolution to "same as source", select "h.264", set quality to "20", and select "fast convert". Your files will look great, be just as small as the h.265 clip, and run super nice in any editing software. You just aren't going to be able to push the grade like you can if you used prores. But it's a nice option I think. Pretty much on par with canon dslr compression.

  2. You can see what i'm referring to at 00:15 to 00:18. The exposure of the footage slightly increases. I've seen a lot of this happening in footage and am just curious what exactly it is. It also happens again at 01:29 in the 1080p footage.

  3. So I've noticed a slight flickering in Samsung NX1 footage from clips I've downloaded and seen online. Is this an issue with auto exposure or something? Or has this problem been fixed with firmware uodates?

  4. Thanks for the amazing comments! :) I'm glad to see my t3i still works as a story telling tool. I wouldn't be upgrading to an NX1 if it wasn't for 4k becoming the new standard and I want to future proof everything I make. Thanks again for the kind words.

  5. Thanks for the files guys! Those are exactly what I needed! I'm defiantly getting this camera. In about a month I hope to have a narrative short online using the NX1 just to show all the skeptics how it can be used to tell a story.

  6. Yes! If there isn't any actual H.265 files to download Id even settle for the straight pro res converted files. I just don't wanna see it after vimeo or YouTube compression.

  7. I've been doing a lot of research lately and think the Samsung NX1 is going to be my next camera. Does anyone know if there is any raw footage from the camera I can attempt to look over? I also want ot try pushing the grade to see how it holds up.
