1. One of the core questions I have in mind for all of these gimbal options: Nearly all of them feature the ability to program various kinds of motion time-lapse, either through a phone app or directly on the gimbal itself. The BMPCC 4K has time-lapse capability built in, but since none of the gimbals are going to be able to connect to/communicate with the camera directly … which of the gimbals can still be programmed for slow, time-lapse-style pans and tilts while not actually being connected to a camera? If any of you are in possession of one of these gimbals, and can give us a conclusive answer on this, I’d appreciate it greatly. The ability to program those slow motion-lapse moves is pretty the first feature I’m looking for (after simple stabilization, of course.) Thanks!
2. The 7D has a loooong way to go before it's actually useable as a reliable, or even viable raw production camera.   I can't advise you what to do, but I do have a 7D, a BMCC EF that I love, and my Pocket camera arrives Monday.    You can draw your own conclusions... :)
3. Hey, pulp_writer - many thanks for these tests. I have both the Som Berthoit 17-85mm and the 17.5-70mm, and this is the first indication I've had of how they might perform.    I've gambled and picked up a range of lenses early - Som Berthiot zooms and more practically, Kern-Paillard Switar primes - in hope of beating the inevitable rush. The real time to do this was right when the M4/3 format was announced - if only! - but I still saved quite a bit over where these lenses are now, and where they'll be going after the BMPC hits the streets.   I'm going to stay on the lookout for tests of the Switar 50mm, 25mm, 16mm and 10mm, as they're small and well suited to keeping a low profile with the Pocket Camera. Thanks again for your work.
4. He reversed himself in a subsequent tweet. "I take it back the raw workflow in davinci light is actually not bad for black magic camera. Even on my retina. #workable #fb"
5. Shijan, that "Remote" port is for a standard LANC connector.
