1. Has anyone tried a U-Flycam with a GH2?
2. I used an Olympus WCON-08b on my 14-140mm for quite awhile. It is a big piece of glass and it worked very well with no loss of light. I found it on ebay for around $80 I think. Anyway I finally bought and Olympus 9-18mm for the GH2 so don't use it anymore. Cheers, Rob
3.
Do you use a step up ring? Would that be a good wide angle converter for the pana 20mm f1.7?
I don't use a step up ring. It is a 62mm thread which screws straight onto the 14-140 lens. I don't know what filter thread the 20mm has. Cheers, Rob
4. Hi, a cheap alternative is to use a wide angle converter. I bought 1 (on ebay) an Olympus Wcon-08b which screwed onto my 14-140mm. It is a big piece of glass, heavy, but gives good results. It made my lens an 11.2mm lens. Cheers, Rob
5. I recently purchased off ebay for my GH2 - a Benro A350FHD1. It is light, has a pan and Tilt head. Very happy with it. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Benro+A350FHD1&_sacat=See-All-Categories
6. I only use FCP7 and QT7. I check my mts files with the Toast Video Player and use FCP log and Transfer to import to FCP in Prores. The MTS looks the same in Toast Video Player and FCP. Rob
7. I recently bought a Benro A350FHD1. Very happy with it for my GH2. 3way head makes levelling fast. Great buy for the price. Rob
8. Are you shooting in Manual mode with Constant Preview turned on? This shold help.
9. Have you got manual focus and manual exposure turned on? Cheers, Rob
10. A cheaper alternative to Manfrotto is Benro. I just bought a Benro A350F HD1 3way Pan/Tilt head. Great tripod for the price. Check them out. Rob
11. Great thanks! 2 different bitrates? Will look into that. Cheers, Rob
12. Hi All, Will a normal class 10 card be OK for the flowmotion patch? Cheers, Rob
13. Thanks Andrew, now to decide which patch to use! Cheers, Rob
14. Oh yes I've heard of it but not tried it. Just googled 2fps and found this link about the timebuster patch. http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2135/gh2-2fps-avchd-timebuster-settings-the-day-is-not-over/p1 Hope this helps.
15. Why not buy an intervalometer and set up a true time lapse, setting your exposures every minute or more? I've just bought one on ebay for $20 and waiting to try it out. Cheers, Rob
16. Hi Andrew & All, Andrew you mentioned there are some glitches that will be fixed, so will the patches be updated again? Or are they ready now? Thanks for all your efforts and great website. I'm new to these GH2 patches and want to choose wisely with a stable setting. Cheers, Rob
17. If you are using a manual lens you have no option but to operate focus and aperture manually. If you mean you do not want to adjust the aperture then the only other methods are as already mentioned ISO or use a variable ND filter. Cheers, Rob
18. Hi, I've downloaded the patches and don't fully understand the activation table. For the vanilla patch the HBR is not mentioned, does that mean the patch (44mbits), is not applied here? Also, if I shoot in manual mode 1080i FSH will the 44mbits apply? Cheers, Rob
19. Copy the "Private" Folder to your hard drive. Then in Log and transfer point to that "private folder and all should come into FCP. Cheers, Rob
20. Hi, New here! I'd be interested in the new patches also for the 1.1 firmware. I'm not up on all the names and terms used for the various patches, but would want a safe stable patch. Previously I hacked my GH1 and have now updated to the GH2 but haven't applied any hack yet.  Cheers, Rob
