α7IV overheating in menu

As the title suggests, I had a very troubling experience. After playing around in the menu for a 10-15 minutes the camera complained about the temperature and shut itself off. This happened 2 times back to back. I then put it in airplane mode and set the temperature limiter higher and set it down for the night. Should I be worried? Should I return the camera?

Changing the limiter to an higher limit seems like taking responsibility in case of a low temperature burn. I'd like to avoid it for normal operations...

Interesting.

What mode was set on the mode dial? A stills mode or video?

What video mode resolution and frame rate was set in the main menus? 4K or 1080p? 30p or 60p?

When it shuts off can you turn it on again and continue for another 15 mins?

Also try to see how long it can go in 4K/60p continuously recording with temperture limiter set highest... I'd be tempted to swap to a different model if it shuts off after 15 mins.
