It sounds like Canon is taking the 1Dx sensor and just cropping it to get it to go fast enough for 24fps (4096/5184 is very close to the 80% Canon crop is claiming). Should be no binning or line-skipping involved at all so much better resolution with no moire when properly downscaled to 1080p. Interesting choice of mjpeg, I’m sure the bitrate will be insanely high, I wonder why they would use that format for this DSLR after just announcing the All-I format on the 1Dx (no support for 4K?).[/html] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
